Million’s of words rushed through your mind and teased your lips but none managed to escape as you stood there facing Michael. Time seamed to freeze as you stood there. Seconds seamed to stretch into minuets, no sound nor movement was made. "Well shit, I’m just gonna leave you two too...sort this out" you heard Michael say faintly, well at least you thought it was faint you mind wasn't working properly. The white hallway laden with blue stripes began to blur as you tried to get your mind working sanely again."Alley we don't have to talk about this if you don't want to" you heard Luke’s voice from behind you. You slowly pivoted around to face Luke. Your heart was beating a hundred miles per hour and you were positive he could hear it too. "We can just forget about this is you want" Luke said in his normal smooth tone. His hair perfectly quiffed as he bit down slight on his plum pink lips that bared his lip piercing that made you weak. You could hardly look at the boy as you faced him. Your eyes were darting around the corridor trying your best to avoid his gaze. "Alley" Luke said his voice filled of concern. "Luke, I think I should go" you say faintly, beginning to walk. You heard Luke open his mouth as you shuffled passed him but no string of words came out, only a little muffled squeak. Your eyes were glued to the shiny white floor as you made your way swiftly out of the building. You sighed deeply as the cold air hit your face. how had it already gone so wrong, five words had rewind a seven year friend ship, three seconds, how had it gone so wrong? You kept thinking to yourself walking aimlessly down the coble stone road. You had no idea where you actually were or how to get home but you kept walking, you needed to be alone and think. Not that much thinking was actually happening due to the words buzzing round your head like an angry swarm of bees. you didn't want to see or talk to anyone, your phone had rung multiple times and you were sure you had a tone of texts but you didn’t even take your phone out of the cotton coated pocket it was situated in. thanks to the seasons it was starting to get dark already, you knew you had to find your way home. You hadn't had a mental note of the direction you'd been walking in. you too your warm phone out of your pocket, making your numb fingers burn. 112 text and 32 missed calls, wow. You didn’t click on any of them instead you pressed Michael’s number calling him. He instantly picked up. "Alley?" Michael said his voice going and worried. You knew he wanted to shout at you, you could tell he'd been on edge. "Michael, I'm lost and it's getting dark" you murmured. Speaking out loud for the first time in hours made you realise how close to tears you actually were. "Okay, stay there give me the name of the road I’ll be there as soon as I can" Michael’s voice now calm and soothing. "Gathward Road" you say trying to hold back the tears that stung your eyes like soap. "On my way" Michael said hanging up. You put your phone back in your pocket, staring blankly into the increasing darkness. You lent back against the dark red brick wall behind you. You needed to break down and cry, you wanted to do so but knew it was unacceptable in the middle of the street. you whished Michael had stayed on to phone, as much as the fact of actually properly speaking to someone terrified you at the moment it would be nice to have another person for comfort. Darkness came swift and fast soon it was nearly pitch black.

Half an hour passed and Michael still hadn't turned up, it was pitch black and your stomach now seemed to be a home to a hundred newly emerged butterflies. You decided it was time to call Michael. You got your phone out of your pocket and dialled his number. "Alley?" Michael’s voice was incredibly reassuring. "Michael where are you?" you asked the worry in your voice obvious. "Don’t worry I’m turning onto the road now" just as he said that a car appeared from the end of the road. "I see you know, bye" you said hanging up. Michael's car pulled up beside you. You practically ran and jumped into his car."Alley, do you know how far you've walked?" Michael asked looking at you with a stern gear you shook your head to anxious to reply. "Nearly bloody 10 miles alley. We were all incredibly worried" Michael said pulling you into a tight embrace. "Michael I-I'm sorry. I needed to get away" "I know, I’m just glad you're safe. Luke has been frantic. He ran after you, you know? You’d already diapered. He really wants to talk to you" the combination of the words did not make any scene to your muddled up mind. "I-I" is all you managed to choke out. "Alley I’m sorry but you're gonna have to talk to him, you live in the same house" Michael said as he started driving again. "I don’t know what to say to him" you reply. "Leave it all too him" Michael said confidently. "But Michael what if it's what I don’t wanna hear" you say. You were thinking of the worst outcome of the current situation. "We’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t even know what’s going on with that boy at the moment Alley. If I knew I would be giving you hints but I don’t" Michael said there was a tone of sympathy woven into his words. You just nodded and proceeded to sit in silence the whole car ride home. Michael knew I didn't want to talk even though I could see the questions practically bursting at his lips.

The drive back took quite a while as somehow I’d decided to take the most windy route in the history of the world. We were finally back, the car pulled into park in the big stone garage we had attached to the side of the house. "Alley I know you are shitting yourself right now but you can do it" Michael said leaning in and pressing a kiss to your cheek. You smiled warmly in gratitude before pulling on the black leather door handle of his car. You shut the door behind you before taking the side entrance to the house. This door lead from the garage into the kitchen. Your heart was pounding as you walked into the kitchen. Your eyes frantically scanned the two faces, it was Calum and Ashton. No sign of Luke. "Holey shit Alley, never do that again" Calum said wrapping his strong arms around you and pulling you into a bone crushing hug. "You scared us to death, especially Luke, I’ve never seen him that worried or nervous before" Ashton added doing the same as Calum. "I'm sorry I don't know what got into me. Have you guys seen Luke, I should talk to him" you ask. The facial expression of the two boys in front of you changed rapidly from relief to worry. "What?" you ask. "He’s in his room. Alley we know what happened but we don’t know what he's going to do or say. He’s been all over the place today" Calum said his eyes sad and puppy dog like. "Well I've prepared myself for the worst" you said walking off out of the kitchen and into the living room. You once again scanned the white walls and brown leather sofas but no sign of Luke. You feet felt like lead as you dragged them up the wooden stairs. Getting to the top was a relief in its self. Walking down the corridor you paused at the second door on the left, it was Luke's. Taking and deep breath you knocked. "Luke?" you called. You waited a few second before opening the door slightly. As you did so you saw a familiar Luke lying down on his bed earphones in with a saddened facial expression. His eyes raised from his phone as you walked in. "Alley" Luke said. You couldn't identify the tone in his voice what made you panic. You eyes took him in, his blond quiff now ragged and messy; you knew he's been running his hands through it. His blue eyes slightly blood shot and his nails no longer existed. "umm Luke we need to talk" you said trying to take your eyes off him as every time you looked at him you lost your train of thought. "Alley, can I ask you something?" Luke asked moving so he sat with his feet now on the floor. You nod and sit next to him. The air was filled with tension that seemed to be crushing your lungs. "Was it true? What you said to Michael?" Luke asked his eyes boring into yours. Your eyes instantly locked on your hands entwining with them self in your lap. "Alley please looks at me" Luke asks placing a hand over both of yours. Your fingers buzzed and tingled under his as your eyes hot up to meet his. "Yes Luke, it's true" you say. "Alley I've been in love with you since we were kids" he said. It took a second to register what he had just said. The Luke Hemmings, Luke Hemmings from 5 seconds of summer, your Luke, was in love with you. "If you think about it it's quite obvious. I thought you might catch on after heart break girl" Luke said with a big grin of his face. "Why didn't you just tell me you muppet?" you ask. "Because I’d prefer to be just friends with you than not in your life at all" Luke said sincerely. "So Mr Hemmings, have you written any more songs about me?" you ask as you both lean closer. "Tons, I’ll show you later" he said as one of his strong hands gently held your jaw, the other your waist as your lips meet.
