"SURPRISE!" All the candy citizens cheered as Fionna just looked around at them.

"What is this?"

Prince Gumball emerged from the crowd with a smile spreaded across his face. "It's a party for you, Fionna. Do you like it?"

"Well, I sure was surprised, PG." She playfully punched his arm. "You didn't have to do this for me."

"I didn't." He smiled and looked over Fionna's shoulder. "He did."

Fionna turned around to see the Vampire king floating near the entrance, smirking at her. She ran up to him with her eyes bluring with tears and engulfed him in a hug.

"Thank you, Marshy!"

"It was no problem, Bunny," He responded, grasping her tiny waist gently into a hug. "It was the least we could do for our heroine."

Fionna pulled away, blushing from the longer than intended hug. "W-well, it's still one of the nicest things you ever did for me, Bud."

Marshall felt a little stab in his heart at the word 'bud.' He smiled slightly. "Heh, anything for you, Fi."

"Okay, Cake. Ready to par-tay?" Fionna asked, fist-bumping the air as she turned to face her feline companion only to notice the cat was nowhere close by. "Uh... Cake?"

"Cake went with Lord Monochromicorn into the Candy garden for some alone time," Gumball said.

"She bailed on me!" Fionna huffed which Marshall thought was the cutest thing he ever saw.

"You still have us, Fionna." Gumball chuckled. "You look lovely in the dress, don't you concur, Marshall?"

Gumball lightly pushed Marshall closer as the vampire glared murderously at the Candy Prince. He gave him the 'Are-you-serious?' face.

Gumball mouthed the words, "Make your move."

Marshall noticed that Fionna was staring at him, waiting for his answer. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Prince Gumball placing a fist over his mouth and pretending to cough to hide his laughter. Marshall made a mental note to scare the pink out of the Prince later for this.

"Fi looks the same as always." Marshall shrugged, looking away from Fionna and thanked glob that his hair had grown longer to hide his eyes from giving away his feelings. "Beautiful and unique. No one could ever compare to her," Marshall admitted.

Fionna's face turned as red as the punch drink being served to the party guests.

"T-thanks," she stuttered.

She turned away and watched the party commence, watching Lumpy Space Prince trying to get all the attention he can get with his 'sweet lumps,' Tree Trunks dancing with Miss Pig, and even some of the other princes dancing with the candy folk. She didn't know why she was blushing so much from what the Vampire King said.

'Glob! Why did he have to say bunk like that?! Does he really have to mess with my mind like that?' Fionna thought. 'Gahh! Why do I even care? Why am I even blushing? He's just a friend!'

Marshall drew closer to Gumball. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No, you're doing good."

"How would you know? Since when did you become an expert at love?"

"Would you stop being like me and go make a move on her?" Gumball whispered loudly.

"But she called me a bud! Gummy, that's all I am to her!"

"Stop making excuses. You're the Vampire king for Glob sake! Are you really going to let your feelings get the best of you?"

".... No," Marshall hesitantly said.
