Keith’s POV

I would never believe that my girl is dead. Not yet, not now. She would never do that to me. She promised not to hurt herself, ever. And I promised that I will try my best take care of her and keep her safe especially from herself. It was obvious that I’m failing miserably that I couldn’t contain the hurt any longer. That note scribbled with blood was just too much for me to handle. I couldn’t endure it for another minute and waiting for things to turn out okay like nothing happened. Love could sometimes be a horrid affliction but at the moment she’s taking my heart on a terrible halt.

Candy warned me before but since our huge fight, I tried my best to exclude her from my life so she could just carry out her own sadistic plans on her own. I don’t want her to ruin my sweet princess like the way she used to poison my mind with her hatred towards Connor. But not heeding to Candy’s warning was probably the biggest mistake ever.

What has that cold, heartless bitch done to Audrey? I thought after her uncle’s attack, she would see sense in all her pathetic vendetta. What has these people done to her for them to be treated this way? Audrey had been nothing but an angel to her, looking up to her recently like she’s the best role model around which broke my silly poor heart more. She lost faith in the Angels and turned for the goth girl instead. I just wished that she could trust me more than that sociopathic girl but to no avail.

I kept on pleading for her to make her appearance out of the bathroom. She wouldn’t even listen to Connor’s and I’m out of wit’s end by now. I kept on thumping my fists on the door, hoping that she won’t be hurting herself or something like that. The pain on my hands felt nothing as compared to the growing anxiety inside my chest. Instead of replying, the loud banging noise erupted further from inside the bathroom. It shocked everyone, without a doubt. Not just once, it went on like a mad rampage and it’s becoming more feral and animalistic in intention, the door wouldn’t stand a chance.

I could see panic and fear flashed in everyone’s eyes inside the room.

We could only witness the thick, wooden door being rammed again and again. Every attempt with greater force as compared to the previous one. You could swear the hinges screaming with agony to be released from the wall. It’s not suspense. It’s something else. You just don’t want to believe your eyes. Something wicked this way comes, maybe not really wicked but more towards vengeful perhaps?

It is simply not her. I couldn’t believe my own two eyes, c’est impossible! Confronting her this very moment would start to make you question your own beliefs. She’s barely visible anymore underneath all the wrath and fury. A quick ping comes from my phone so I quickly fished it out from my pocket. It’s from the sociopath. What the hell does she want now?

Don’t get me wrong I really do care about her too, just as much. Truth is, please don’t be scared of her. The full moon is outside. That rage is still containable.

My mind was swirling with confusion for her usual, stupidly cryptic messages. Was she implying that my girlfriend is a werewolf or some sort? I couldn’t process that at all, she was definitely just trying to mess with my head. Why can’t she just give normal texts like everyone else for once? I hate her way more now. Did she do this to my poor babe? Should I blame myself for allowing Audrey to mingle with that sociopath?

Those thoughts were snapped out of my mind when a powerful blow hit the side of my face as I couldn’t react fast enough to evade the punch. The force had been nothing but nasty, nothing is left but the explosion of pain bursting on the collision site like my jaws are lopsided from that second on. I fell back on my butt and took one quick look at the tall attacker who stood mercilessly on top of me. The bathroom door had been shoved off its hinges, torn down on the floor at last and finally set free from the almost endless pounding just now. But I had a strong feeling in my gut that the door wouldn’t be the only victim of the rage. I would be the next target if I don’t act fast enough to contain her fury soon.
