It's morning.

I'm laying in my bed.

I sit up and go over to the window.

I hold up my hand, and take a deep breath, then I pull the curtains wide open.

I go to Jer's room, I pulled the curtains open.

And the light shines through the window.

Aaahh! Early. Bad! "Jer whined.

Ahh. It's not early. "I said rolling my eyes.

I walk up to his bed and pull off his covers.

You're late, for work. Matt just called. "I said.

I walk out of the room.

Well, maybe he'll fire me. "He said.

I start walking out the door.

Aim high. "I told him.

Downstairs

I'm talking to Caroline on the phone.

What are you doing? "I asked.

Just shopping for the party you're trying to bail out on. "She said.

I'm walking down the stairs and go to the kitchen.

I never said yes in the first place. But Elena did. "I said rolling my eyes.

You were never going to which is why we planned it anyway. And my mom wants you to call her. "She said.

An animal attack in Memphis. It's the third one this week in Tennessee. "She said.

Ric is in the kitchen making coffee and we exchange looks.

I pick up the two cups of coffee.
