The rest of school week was a blur for Tyler. Everything was already so routine and boring that he found himself counting down the time until the weekend by Wednesday. But Tyler wouldn't be able to spend his weekend relaxing because he was already being suffocated by his assignments. He had an essay, a project, which he was working on with Josh so he didn't really mind, and basketball tryouts. His tryouts were Saturday so they decided to work on the project Friday night.

After school on Friday Josh came home with Tyler and the two worked on their project for a couple hours. Eventually they got bored and set their project aside to just talk. That's one thing Tyler loved about Josh. They could spend hours talking about nothing and he never felt like Josh was judging him. He just felt so... comfortable. They only knew each other for about a month but Tyler could tell that he already had feelings for Josh. Which scared the shit out of him. Of course he had crushes before and even a few relationships but he never rushed into one this quick. But as he stared down at the boy sitting at the foot of his bed, all of his fears and doubts melted away wand were replaced with thoughts about Josh.

"Dude, you have a giant music collection. Why didn't you show me this sooner?" Josh asked as he scanned the shelf in the corner of Tyler's room. It was probably because this was the first time Josh was in Tyler's room. They usually hung out at Josh's house because it was quieter.

"I'm surprised it took you that long to notice it. Being the music junkie that you are, I figured it would be the first thing you went to when you came in here." Tyler said as he went to meet Josh at the bookshelf.

"What makes you think I'm a music junkie?" Josh asked with a confused look on his face.

Tyler laughed. "How are you not a music junkie? You will literally listen to anything if someone recommends it." which was true. Josh had told Tyler many stories about when he was thirteen and took music recommendations from tatted up strangers in the local music store. He also said that's what made him want a job there in the first place, now he got paid to talk about music with the customers.

"Yeah that's true. Can I play something?" Josh asked gesturing to the shelves of music.

"Yeah go for it." After Tyler gave him the go-ahead he was immediately searching the shelves for something to play. Tyler couldn't help but smile and stare at how cute he was when he was concentrating. He had his lip in between his teeth and his eyes scanning the titles of every record and CD Tyler owned.

But before Josh had picked one his phone started ringing. "Could you see who it is?" He asked, clearly to preoccupied in browsing through the shelves to check.

Tyler walked back to the bed where Josh left his phone. "It's someone named Debby."

Josh made a noise of distaste before going back to his searching. "Yeah I'll let that go to voicemail. It's just this girl that's had a crush on me for like two years."

"You don't like her?" Tyler asked.

"Well she's nice and all. But not my type." He said simply.

Tyler couldn't help but wonder if Josh was saying that his "type" was guys. Before he even realized it he was already verbalizing this question. "So what is your Type?"

Josh laughed. For the first time in the past five minutes Josh looked back at Tyler and smiled. Tyler's suspicion was confirmed when Josh answered. "Guys." There was a pause where Tyler was mentally cheering to himself that Josh was gay and he possibly had a chance with him. Apparently Josh read the silence in a bad way because his next question was filled with worry. "You're not like homophobic are you?"

Tyler was shocked by Josh's question because if he was homophobic he'd also be a giant hypocrite. "No, no actually I'm gay." That was the first time He had said that out loud. Sure he had been with guys before, but he had never said it.

"Oh." Josh said with a a surprised look on his face. "I didn't think- I mean it's not- never mind." Tyler smiled at Josh's faltering. Was he really that taken aback by Tyler's statement? He always thought it was sort of obvious.
