The Hymen is a Lie

That's right folks, there is actually NO SUCH THING AS A HYMEN (EDIT: SOME women are born with a cresent of skin that is dubbed the hymen and many mistakenly believe that this is some kind of Virginity barrier. It's sking, like that slip of skin that connects your upper lip to your gums). *gasp*

Sex for the first time IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HURT. And there is not supposed to be blood. It's not the hymen breaking, it's tearing the vagina wall because the female is not sexually aroused enough.

I've read WAY too many romance stories where the man 'breaks her maidenhead'. It should really read 'he penetrates her roughly, too impatient to turn her on too and so she hurts'.

The truth: the opening of the vagina is sensitive and delicate. The reason it hurts and there is blood is due to the fact that penis penetration stretches the skin until it tears (if the body is not sufficiently turned on), however, for those women who have a considerate sexual partner, the first time is not painful.

For those women who do have a 'hymen', it can be torn in so many ways that is has NEVER BEEN AN TRUE INDICATOR OF VIRGINITY.
