Mine

Family Dinner

Our family will host a dinner for Leo and the rest of his family in our house tonight. I am so nervous, I will meet his parents, he will meet mine.... What troubles me though is that I'll have to leave my pack, my family and friends. 

I didn't mention this to Leo, I just couldn't'  ruin our perfect moments. We didn't talk much, it wasn't necessary. Just the feeling of me holding hands with him was enough to satisfy my wolf, and also calm me down. Every time Leo looked at me, with these oh so green eyes, every time he touched my cheek, every time he smiled, I could feel it. I know it sounds cheesy but I always dreamed of finding a mate that would love me unconditionally, that would be kind to me. And he did that...

I didn't realize how much time I had spent daydreaming of him, until I glanced at my clock. 

OH WOW I was sitting there for an hour! 

That's all his fault...!

"I AM GOING I AM GOING!"I shouted, bolting down the stairs at the sound of the door bell. Suddenly I felt a strong hand grabbing my arm and pulling me back 
"Where do you think you are going, missy? You know dad and I  will have to talk to him before you two love birds touch each other" 

I stare at him in shock:  I want to see my mate! My wolf whined. 

"Hush, babysis, I know you want to but you will have to wait" Oh damn, I did it again. Unfortunately,I have a very VERY bad habit of voicing some of my most embarrassing or awkward thoughts. 

Chris gave me a knowing smile and just like that a shock hit my body.

Oh he is probably so close... I want to touch him, to hug him to be and inhale his calming smell! I want to see my mate and they won't let me! Time for action... 

I start to whimper and look up at my brother, doing my best puppy eyes. "Chriiiiiiiis,I need to see him!"

A low growl comes from the living room and we both snap our heads to the side, as Leo walks inside and sweeps me off my feet.I immediately relax but I feel how tense he is. What happened...?

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THAT YOU WILL FORBID MY MATE FROM SEEING ME!"His booming voice echoes through our house, my mother and father rush to our side.

I gently place my hand on his cheek,rubbing it slowly and I see him go from stiff and angry to relaxed and blissfull. I never knew my touch could affect him that much. 

Yeah you know,thats what mates usually do.

Shut up.

I roll my eyes, my subconscious can be such a bitch sometimes! 

I turn my head to look at my Leo's side, my parents' horrified expressions. Oh know, don't be scared of him.. He's such a good mate..

"It's okay,he's my brother"I whisper quietly in his ear,gently rubbing his arm. Although I don't want him to release me, I don't want my brother to be scared of my mate.

Leo looks doubtfully at my direction but gently places me down, however he keeps a firm grip around my waist,holding me possessively to his side. 

"I apologize,Alpha Leo"My brother murmurs,bowing his head as a sign of respect.

I watch them as my man lets out a sigh and shakes his head "No,don't please.I was overreacting probably... Tell me,have you found your mate yet?"

Oh that's a touchy subject...

"No sir,I haven't." He replied, staring impassively, but I could see hurt flashing in his eyes. I suppose Leo did  too, and patted my brother's back reassuringly "I hope you will,soon enough. You will understand when you do."
