Chapter 10

Finally, it’s chapter 10! I didn’t think I would make it this far!

Carter’s POV.

“Did you find her yet?” I asked Zack, one of my men.

“Yes sir but she ran into the Bate’s border(Damon Bate),” his voice was quivering with fear.

What?! How could that have happen?! I clench both my first and glared at him. I could feel the anger building in me.

“What!” I growled.

All three of them were staring at the floor. We were in my office and they were reporting to me about Sage. I push my chair back and it fell over. The room was silent. Not a single sound could be hear. I could smell their fear and I’m sure they could smell my anger. I walk towards them slowly. Their eyes were still on the floor. I stop in front of Zack. Without warning, I grab his shirt and threw him across the room. The impact left a small crack on the floor. He fell to the floor and groaned. I could see the blood flowing at this side.

“Get the doctor,” I said to one of the two.

Damon POV(Before Sage came)

Me and my pack had been training after breakfast and was soon lunch time.

“Damon, stop your training and come in for your lunch!” mom shouted from the house.

“”Okay mom!” I shouted back.

We were all tired and hungry. There was no time for a break. We had to get back Sage and to do that, we had to be prepared. I was walking ahead of them towards the house when someone decided to put their hands around me.

“Damon!” a high pitch voice greeted me.

I rolled my eyes. What did she want ? I wanted to pull her arms off me. Only Sage should be allowed to touch me like that.

“You don’t look happy to see me!” Ashley pouted.

I grabbed her arms off me and glared at her.

“Don’t ever touch me again! Understand?” I gave her a deathly glare.

Not waiting for her answer, I turn around and walk to the house. I pulled the door open and drag my tired legs to the kitchen.

“Mom? Dad!” I was shocked.

Oh god. I think I’m going to vomit. I was walking towards the kitchen when I saw dad’s arms around mom and they were kissing each other. They broke away from each other and looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

“Oh Damon, I’m sorry honey,” mom gave me a tight smile and straightened her dress.

I rolled my eyes,”whatever mom”.

I could hear the rest of the teenagers coming in for lunch. Our houses were close to each other but they preferred to eat here. Why? Because my mom’s cooking is always the best. I’m not joking. Sometimes, I even have to kick their asses out.

We were all gathered at the dining table. Mom made us spaghetti. Spaghetti for lunch? What was mom thinking? Everyone was sitting around the table. Eating and laughing at their own jokes. My mind was someplace else. Sage. Is she alright? How can Carter take something that wasn’t his in the first place?

“Damon,” a sweet and soft voice called out.

My eyes snapped to where it came from. Across me was the only person I wanted to see, hear, touch. The only person my body wanted and needed. Everyone was staring at her. I stood up and ran to her. My hands cupped her cheeks. I stared deeply into her blue eyes. Was this real? I hope so...

I hug her tightly, and kiss her hair. I missed her so much. There was not a day I wasn’t thinking about her. At this moment and time, even though I was the Alpha, I couldn’t help but to cry. This was the time I’ve been waiting for. We just met but yet I was in love with her. I was glad that she finally could accept me. No more kidnapping. After a few moments, someone cleared her throat behind me. I let her go and turned to see my parents. Both my parent’s were smiling at us.

“Who’s that Damon?” Mom asked.

“This mom, is my very pretty mate, Sage,” I spoke loudly feeling proud of her.

I glanced at Sage and could see her blushing.

“Finally! No more abusing son!” Dad suddenly burst out.

I smirked at his reaction,”shut up old man!”

“I have a daughter now! We can go shopping together!” mom squealed.

“Mom, not now. We need some alone time,” I said.

“Oh of course dear, go ahead,” Mom said sounding disappointed.

Sage POV

Damon pulled my hand walk up the stairs. Leaving everyone with their chattering. I’m finally safe. We walk to the right side of the stairs and stop at the last room. Damon pushed the door open and we walked into a huge room. It was painted blue with a bed in the middle of it. There were photos, trophies, guitars...typical guy things. I couldn’t help but think how much his and Carter’s room were so much alike.

I didn’t realize that I was staring at his room when he sighed. He was sitting on the bed, looking at me.

“So..what happen?” his eyes clearly showing how worried he was.

I walked to him and explained what happen. I could see him being angrier and angrier.

“He slept with you?!” he growled at the end of the story.

I jumped slightly and cower back. He sensed my fear and calm down. Taking my hand gently, he lean down and kiss it slowly. Giving me a sense of secure.
