Chapter Twenty Six: Tales Of A Wise One

Alex's Point Of View

Lottie and I were crashing in the common room on the night before the Quidditch final. We were both as tired as each other but we stayed up just for the twins who seemed to want to be as loud as they could. I could tell Lottie was fed up with it and I had told her multiple times to go to bed but she wouldn't have it. Even George told her once but still, she sits there like an idiot. I looked up at Fred and he walked past and grinned. I tried a smile but it just wasn't worth it. He stopped in his tracks and sat on my knee, "What d' you want?"

"You're tired aren't you?" He said and I nodded slowly, "Go then. And take Sleeping Beauty with you." He pointed over to the armchair and I saw Lottie curled up in it asleep. I smiled slightly and pushed Fred upwards. He then pulled me up and I went over to get Lottie. It took a few minutes but she finally awoke and got up, trailing herself up to the dorm room. I saw George looking up at her as she slumped into the dorm. I shook my head and patted him on the back as I made my way past him and up the stairs,

"Say night to her." He called nervously and I grinned and nodded at him.

"You should hide it more." I grinned before darting into the dorm room and shutting the door. Lottie was already flat out in her bed and I rolled my eyes as I quickly got changed and fell into my bed. I turned over and crossed off another day from the calendar on the side of my bed. I threw the pen back onto my bedside table and turned over again.

Next day at breakfast, Hermione, Ron Lottie and I were sitting at the Gryffindor table waiting for the team to arrive, "What are they doing?" Lottie mumbled impatiently and lent on the table,

"Getting ready." I stated, "Duh." Lottie looked up and rolled her eyes, sighing for what must have been the thousand time that morning. Moments later the Great Hall doors opened and the team made their way into the hall. They entered with huge applause and Harry looked pretty happy. Fred sat next to me with George plonking down next to Lottie and Harry next to George. The Slytherins were hissing and booing as the team took their seats so I stuck my tongue out at their table. Malfoy spotted me so I decided to show him my finger. Just because he's more special than the rest of their table,

"Really Alex?" Lottie asked. I looked at her and grinned as she shook her head and Fred high fived me,

"Got guts Alex?" George asked and I nodded,

"Malfoy's no match for me. Considering he is two years younger and my awesomeness level is hell loads higher." I laughed as the food appeared before us. All through breakfast, Wood was pacing and telling the team to eat even though he didn't take one bite,

"But you're not eating anything." Lottie pointed out in a sarcastic voice and Wood sat down, looking pretty pissed. Lottie then got a gleeful look on her face compared to her usual miserable look when Oliver's around and George patted her shoulder. Wood then got up again about five minutes later and her usual 'Wood is in the area' look ruined. George told her not to be miserable and she growled at him,

"Woah." Fred laughed, "George, what'd I tell you about letting your dog on the couch?" Fred ducked avoiding the piece of toast which was flying at his face and the whole table burst into laughter. Wood then took a final pace then ran off out of the hall towards the Quidditch pitches, something about checking conditions. Lottie rolled her eyes and muttered something probably witty to her, but not to anyone else. About ten minutes later, the team was going to head out to the pitches when Fred pulled me up whilst George got Lottie up and we walked out of the hall together. The whole of the Great hall was in applause and George stopped in front of us and said something to Lottie. She laughed and jumped onto his back. They started goofing around as we walked out of the hall and carried on down the corridors just in front of us. Angelina had walked past looking pretty annoyed and Alicia and Katie had just followed her. Harry had disappeared behind them so it was just us four in the corridors. Lottie jumped off of George when we reached the steps and they went running off to the pitch together. I laughed and saw Fred grinning,
