{~song for my chapter: This Is My Wish-Kevin Ross~} Winter's POV: December 31st 2016 Its New Year's Eve & we're trying to head out to Times Square It's pretty late but it's New Years Eve.. Nobody got work tomorrow anyway! I'm dressed up & sitting down on the couch I'm waiting on Nate Me & Mary are all dressed up in sparkly clothes yet we're warm I did metallic smokey eyes with silver & gold with a hint of copper eyeshadows I went & put on red lipstick & I curled my hair perfectly I left it loose & I kept waiting for Nate. Who was taking a long time.. The doctor checked me out 2 days ago He said I was perfectly fine & the baby's healthy I'm so happy. Around this time I had my miscarriage 11 months ago almost a year ago.. so it meant the world hearing those words.. With the new year coming I'm only hoping for the best.. As our little family gets bigger & I can't wait to marry the man of my dreams.. As I think of it I hear footsteps & I look up to see Nate in a dressy long sleeved black buttoned shirt With dressy slacks & shiny shoes "Where we going? I should change.." I say frowning He grabs my arm & stops me "Don't. You look great" he says "Your all in dressy clothes..I'm in a sparkly long sleeved shirt & jeans!" I say "You look beautiful in my eyes relax.." He says & pecks my lips "No I can't..I don't want these hoes staring at you...thinking they can touch you" I say He lifts my chin up with his finger "No else will ever steal my heart..because it's already stolen..by you" he says I shake my head with a single tear rolling down my cheek "I'm sorry Nate..this is all happening so fast & I've been through so much..I didn't want anything bad to happen again I really-" He shuts me up by kissing me "Stop stressing. Your safe now" he says & kisses my forehead I hug him tightly & we see the countdown clock "20 minutes until midnight" We rush outside with heavy jackets,gloves,scarfs etc.. all on us We stuff ourselves in Nate's car.. He turns on the heat & I sigh He looks over at me He grabs my hand "Come here" He says I lean over & he hugs me & Mary tightly "I love you girls" he says kissing our heads.. We giggle & I hear "14 minutes until midnight" "How the hell are we gonna make it?" I say frantically He smirks evilly at me I shake my head "Mary buckle up & hold onto your seat tightly" he says adjusting his mirrors I shake my head again "Buckle up baby please" he says I nod & buckle up As there's no way out of it.. He pressed hard on the gas & we speed out of the neighborhood.. ~at Times Square~ It's 2 minutes until midnight & we're running in a crowd of people I'm carrying Mary in my arms searching for Nate It takes a good minute but.. We find each other & stand holding hands We look up when the clock says "60 seconds" It starts moving down & we start counting down Nate records it all & wraps one arm around me Mary claps her hands a little & looks at the clock "30...29..28..27..26.." "Winter.." Nate whispers I look over at him "Let's get married on New Year's Day. Let's go to City Hall & lets get married already." He says I look over at Mary who's smiling at me "Okay let's do it!" I say "20...19..18..17..16..15.." "Nate...I love you" I say "I love you too baby" he says "I love you mommy" Mary blurts out "I love you too Hun" I say smiling "13..12...11.." "10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4!.." "3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR" we all yell Nate holds me tightly & looks at me He kisses me & Mary covers her eyes It's a New Year!. -the next day- January 1st 2017. "Winter and Nathan today you celebrate one of life's greatest moments and give recognition to the worth and beauties of love,as you join together in the vows of marriage." The minister says Me & Nate smile each other as I hold my white roses bouquet in my hand It's small yet still beautiful I really like the dress I choose It's so fast how this all happened...
