Chapter 8: Last Christmas

Winter's POV:
~the next morning~
I stood at the kitchen counter
Sipping on my full glass of fresh orange juice
When all of a sudden..
a wave hits me like a ton of bricks
A wave being a emotional wave..
I start remembering the past..
~flashback 1 year ago~
It was a perfect Christmas Eve
Christian's mom,stepfather,siblings,my parents,my cousins etc...
Are all under one roof
At this time Christian's mom just got married to his wealthy stepfather
So she was happy & nice to me that year..
I had a surprise for everyone..
I was expecting & no one knew...
I wanted to keep it a secret
According to the doctors I'm almost 2 months into my pregnancy
I have a small bump
which I cover pretty good with loose clothing
I love Christian so much..this is gonna be the best Christmas gift ever...
We were all sitting at the table & eating Christmas dinner
I grabbed Christian's hand tightly
"Chris I have some news" I say
He raised a eyebrow & smiled
"What's up babe?" He asks
I see his phone buzzing..but he ignores it
I shrug & I stand up proudly
"Excuse me everyone..i have some news" I say
"Omg it's midnight!" My mom exclaims
"GIFT TIME!" Everyone yells & runs towards the tree
I sigh & walk over..
I smiled when I remembered
I hid the pregnancy test in a wrapped present for Christian
I bought him a brand new very luxurious Michael Kors watch
also some Versace colognes..along with designer clothes
I spent a lot on him..
He unwraps his gifts & sees the presents I bought him..
He noticed a small wrapped up box..
He raises a eyebrow
"From you?" He asks me
I nod & he unwraps it
He lifts open the box & it reveals a pregnancy test with a positive sign on it
With a small note saying "we're gonna be parents!"
His face lights up & he hugs me tightly..
He makes a announcement & we all celebrate in honor of my pregnancy..
~January 10th~
It was 2:30am
Me & Christian got into a heavy fight a hour before
We never fight
so it caught me off guard
when he lashed out at me suddenly..
I was silent when I felt pain in my abdominal area
I look down to see blood on my sheets
I screamed & Christian called the ambulance
We got to the hospital & they sent me in a room..
They checked the baby.....
They heard a heartbeat but it was so slow..
Until..
They didn't hear one at all..
I bursted into tears
when they told me I had a miscarriage...
Christian was crying & seemed to comfort me at the hospital
But when we got home..
he told me off & said it was totally my fault for our baby dying...
I blamed myself & carried with that..
until finally i realized it wasn't any of our faults..
By that time we were having problems..
~flashback over~
I burst into tears & my mom rushed downstairs
She hugs me tightly
"I know how badly you wanted that baby.." She says wiping my tears
I nodded with tears rolling down my face & she held me tightly
"Today you have to work..if you want I'll give them a call-"
"No I'll go.." I say sniffling & I walk upstairs
I close the door & I fix myself up for work..
It's a new day & the past is the past......
