Has anyone else ever noticed if Erik were to start his unorthodox courtship with Christine a month or two earlier, he would have won her? Because Raoul didn't come to the Opera Populaire until the new managers bought the Opera house. So Erik would have been competing for Christine's affection unchallenged.
Basically, due to procrastination, Erik lost the girl.......
Great, I ruined the Phantom of the Opera..... or maybe not. Idk.
But it kind of works for us fangirls though. Erik remains single in cannon.....
