Grace's POV

Edward was so hot looking! When I approached him, I expected him to make some arrogant remark or something, but he said nothing but call me beautiful.

"Thanks, " I whispered, looking away in shyness.

"You're welcome." He said with a small smile on his face. I smiled lightly at his cute boyness.

"Shall we?" He asked offering me his hand. I blushed even more before taking his hand in mine. I couldn't help but notice once again how large and warm his hands were compared to mine.  He lead us towards the entrance, and even opened the door for me.

Obviously it wasn't the first time someone has done that for me, it was just the first time someone like Edward has done that for me. Most guys I knew who were like him thought they were king of everything and thought they deserved to be treated like royalty. B-frikkin-S.

"Table for two?" The hostess asked us from the podium, as we approached it. She was a pretty blonde, but I was shocked to see that Edward didn't notice her. How can he not? She was gorgeous and even seemed respectable with the way she wore her work uniform properly, opposed to her co-workers who made their uniforms look like hoochies!

"Yes, oh and booth please." He said, sparring her a glance before he averted his gaze to our intertwined hands.

"Sure, follow me please." She said, with a smile on her face. She brought us to a corner booth.

"Thank you." I said, while sliding into my side of the table while reluctantly letting go of Edward's hand, though he gripped my hand tighter before letting it go and I couldn't help but feel hopeful with that one gesture.

Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.

"No problem, your waitress will be with you momentarily." She said, before placing a menu infront of us and returning back to her podium to greet an other couple.

"Thanks for meeting with me." I said, while looking anywhere but at him. I heard him sigh, which caught my attention. I looked up at him and saw that he was staring at me.

"You're welcome, Grace." He said, while reaching across the table to hold my hand.

The following moment was silent, but was quickly interupted.

"God, you're beautiful." He whispered as though he didn't mean to say it aloud.

I blushed again, and he gently stoked his thumb across the back of my palm.

"Thanks, again." I whispered and he seemed shocked for a second, before recomposing his cool.

"I'm sorry. I'm acting like such a dofus." He said, before pulling his hand away. My heart stung at this action and I reluctantly pulled my hand away. How can everything be okay one second, and be completely wrong the next. I sighed and placed both my hands on my lap. When I looked up again, I was shocked by what I saw.

Edward was staring at me pained, as though he was sad because he saw me dissapointed.

"I promised to answer all of your questions that you were asking yourself today, did I not?" He asked. I nodded, not meeting his eyes.

"Well, I thought I had all the answers, but now... the only answer I can think of is... I don't know why you feel the way you do towards me or I to you. But what I do know is, I would like to figure out why, together." I met his eyes once he said this, the tone of his voice was so sweet and... vulnereable that I couldn't help but want to know what he meant.

"I guess what I'm trying to ask is... will you go out with me? On a real date?" He asked, hope in his voice and his eyes. And the way he sat forward in his seat was undeniably adorable. I sat stiff in my seat both in shock and joy.

"Please, give me a chance. I know you'll think I'm lying, that 'I've said this plenty of times before' but, there's something about you that... makes my heart beat. That... makes me want to wake up... ever since last night at the diner. I couldn't stop thinking about you beautiful eyes, your unique personality.."

I didn't believe him, or I wouldn't of believed him.

If it wasn't for this afternoon, I wouldn't of believed him. The way we connected outside my pool the way he held me,so close so possessively to him... I couldn't help it but believe him.

"Yes." I whispered. He stopped short of what he was going to say next.

"Yes?" He asked, as though he forgot what his whole speech was about.

"Yes, I'll go on a real date with you." I said, with a small smile.
