Tyler’s POV

I woke up to the shining sun on my face shining through the curtains. It was a cold January morning and as usual, I get up late.

As you can see, I spend my Christmas vacation like this; I wake up, eat breakfast, take a shower and go for a daily walk at the park with my dog, Princess. Sometimes if the weather’s a bit chilly, I’d go for some coffee at Starbucks. I usually get home at around noon, so when I get back home I eat lunch with mum and dad. Afternoon; I stay all afternoon in my room doing anything I could think of or sleep. I usually wake up by evening, or when luck hits me I wake up at midnight. I’d go downstairs and eat dinner all alone, since mum and dad would be finish. After that, I change in my pajamas and check the internet until I get sleepy. I sound like a lazy pig, I know. But what else should I do? Well, of course I sometimes go out and party with friends. But that doesn’t happen often. So, yeah.

I glanced at the time and it was eight-thirty a.m. Well I’m surprised, I got up early. I usually get up by ten or eleven. Sometimes twelve. I grabbed the pink brush that was lying on my nightstand and brushed my curly brown hair. I sometimes get jealous knowing my sister has straight blonde hair. I know, we’re the total opposites. My dad has blonde shaggy hair while mum has curly brown. So let’s say I got my hair from my mother. And how I hate the fact that my sister looks like the girl version of dad; she has blue eyes!! But me? Don’t even ask.

They’re green.

“Honey, are you up now? Breakfast is ready.” Mum’s angelic, calm voice beamed while knocking on my door. I love it how she wakes me up with her calm voice. Sometimes, when I get so unlucky she’d yell at my door saying that I always wake up late and how I’m such a pig.

“I’ll be down in a minute, mum!” I yelled back as I hopped out of bed. As my feet hit the cold ground my eyes landed on my full-length mirror that was in front of me. I sighed at the view.

I hate myself. I don’t even look like an Andrews! Look at me; I look like a helpless girl down the street begging for money. I have bags under my eyes; I wear big, loose clothes and my hair always in a messy bun. Does that sound like an Andrews to you? Of course, every Andrews should look neat and clean, always in tip-top shape. But seems like I don’t look like I should be. As my eyes trailed down to my body, I noticed the cuts on my left wrist. As I lifted my hand up I saw the scars on my wrist where I used to cut. Before, I became insecure when I realized that all their attention is on my sister. While I was just there, sitting around, acting like I don’t give a fuck. Yes, you could say my life is a total waste of time.

I didn’t notice I was crying until I felt a tear trickle down my cheek. I quickly wiped them away and shook all the negative thoughts away.

Focus Tyler, focus. I told myself.

I know you’re better than that. You just have to show them who you really are and prove them that you’re more than that. It’s your time to shine.

I smiled at my little pep talk I gave myself. I took a deep breath before facing back at my reflection.

This is it, Tyler. It’s time to change your life.

Liam’s POV

“Babe! Babe! Babe! Wake up! I have good news!!” a familiar, girly voice yelled in my ear. I winced as I covered my ears with my pillow. The room became silent again. I peeked out and saw my beautiful, sporty girlfriend lying next to me giving me those award winning puppy eyes telling me to get up already. I chuckled as I kissed her nose and sat up.

I must be the luckiest guy on earth. I’m in a band, dreaming big to achieve my dreams, a supportive family supporting all my decisions in life, friends who love me for who I am, and most definitely, a girlfriend who loved me truly. I must be living a wonderful life.
