Chapter 4 "Change"

*Kelsey's POV*

I just dyed my hair light brown like Eleanor Calder's now I'm getting a tattoo.

J: "are you sure about this?"

K: "yup I'm ready"

I took a deep breath as I felt the needle touch my skin.

*about 10 minutes later*

Tattoo artist: "and that's it. Now are going to get a belly piercing?"

K: "yeah"

Tattoo artist: "okay after you get it you can take of the cover"I pointed to the cover up on my tattoo

K: "okay thank you"I smiled

He nodded and walked away.

Aunt Maddie: "you ready for the piercing?"

K: "ready as I'll ever be"

We walked over to the woman who was going to be doing my piercing.

Lady: "alright lay down on the chair and pull up your shirt"

I did as I was told and exposed my stomach.

Lady: "it'll only take a minute or 2"

*minutes later*

Lady: "and you're done! Keep your shirt up and here's a lolly"she handed me a cherry lolly.

*a few minutes later*

Lady: "okay pull your shirt back down and take off your cover up"

I pulled my shirt down and took off the cover and gave it to her.

J: "what does it say?"

K: "it says 'Keep Dreaming' in cursive that's what my mum told me before she passed"

Aunt Maddie: "I know you miss her"

K: "I do but she's in a better place"I smiled

Aunt Maddie: "let's eat?"

We nodded and drove off to ihop.

*at ihop*

J: "so what's it like to get a belly piercing?"

K: "it hurts but it's worth it"

Aunt Maddie: "at least your tattoo was meaningful"

K: "I know if I got something stupid like a donut I would of regretted it so much"I laughed

We got our food and started eating.

J: "are you really joining the X factor?"

K: "yup. I seriously cannot wait!"

Aunt Maddie: "what song are you singing?"

K: "it's a surprise. You guys are coming with me right?"

J: "of course"

Aunt Maddie: "wouldn't miss it for the world"
