"Quiet down y'brats!" Mr Sycamore banged his hand on the table to get the class's attention. "Today we're gonna be reviewing the dissecting process. So find a partner and if you have any questions, as always—don't ask me."

Serena tapped her pencil on the table in rhythm to her heartbeat. Dissection experiment, how nostalgic. The last time they've had that, she was forced to form a group with Ash.

Nothing much have changed since then.

Serena leaned back in her chair.

Everything was the way it was. She was still the top student, and he was still the heartthrob of the school. But after what Ash had said the other day, she's gotten less bashful comments than she thought, perhaps she shoul thank him for that. Serena took a glimpse around her.

The heartthrob was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, the door bursted open and no other than Ash came in to the classroom.

Fangirls started screaming.

He gave everyone his famous grin as he strode towards a seat at the far corner. As he got closer to where Serena sat, the honey blonde expected him to say something like he always did, but instead he walked right pass her without even looking at her, like she didn't exist.

Serena pouted as Ash sat in his seat and all the girls rushed to him like a wave of fangirls—which they were. She didn't like how he was treating her.

Why was she the way getting ignored when he was the one that did something wrong?

Sighing, she couldn't help but to confidentially sneak a glance at the heartthrob. He was laughing at something funny that one of the fangirls had said.

The sad and hurt expression that he made flashed back into her head. That's been bothering her for a while now. Serena shook her head to get away from the thought.

A hand suddenly came into her vision, snapping her out of the trance. She turned her head and saw Calem waving in her face with a smile.

"Is everything okay?" He asked. "What were you thinking?"

Serena paused for a moment, then managed a smile back. "It's... Nothing important."

"But anyway," Calem said as he leaned closer to her. "Wanna go on a date tomorrow? It's the weekend after all."

"Eh?!" The honey haired girl exclaimed as she backed away. "But, uh... That's so sudden. Isn't that a bit too soon?"

"Not at all," Calem shook his head. "That's what couples do. Is there anywhere specific you want to go?"

Serena suddenly remembered the restaurant where she and Ash went to. At that time she still didn't fall for him. So many things have happened since then.

"I..." She hesitated, "you can choose the place, I don't really mind anywhere."

Calem gave her a smile. "Alright then."
