The rest of the day resulted in a triple date since Calem and Shauna were invited to shop with them.

Letting out a small yawn, she took a seat on a nearby bench to take a break.

She watched as the two pairs ran from store to store, carrying numerous bags that they brought with them. The honey blonde wondered why she agreed to go with them, only to realize that she had never really agreed in the first place.

Serena sweat dropped.

"Look at Calem and Gary," Ash sat beside her and rose a finger.

Serena shifted her vision to where he was pointing and saw the two boys running after Dawn and Shauna with bags in their hands that are steadily increasing in number. She glanced back at Ash, only to see a smug expression on his face.

"Poor boys, I feel so bad for them." He smiled darkly.

"Your expression doesn't correspond with your words," the honey blonde sweat dropped, while Ash just shrugged innocently.

"It's getting late," Serena commented, glancing down at her watch. She sighed. "My mom is going to be mad if I come home past my curfew. We should get going soon, don't you think?"

"Is that so..." Ash rose his head slightly and stared at the golden sky above them. "I don't really have a curfew. And even if I don't go home it won't really concern anyone since nobody is home anyway."

Serena bit her lips, thinking that she might have said something she shouldn't have said. She was curious about the raven haired boy's past, which she had a feeling that he had been deliberately avoiding to talk about. She decided to push the topic a bit more.

"...You and Delia-san don't seem that close, is there a reason why?" She asked hesitantly.

With that, Ash shifted his head towards her with a slightly shocked expression, then his gaze went cold. "What? Are you curious about me?"

The honey blonde could sense a sharp tone in his voice, one that he barely used.

"It's just that... you never really talk about yourself," she said. Ash just stared at the ground, letting silence fall upon them.

When the raven haired boy stayed quiet, a sudden wave of anger rose inside her. Serena balled her hands into fists and stood up from the bench.

Ash glanced up at her sudden movement.

"I'm not the one to interfere with your personal life since that's your privacy and you have the right to keep it, but... " She said, letting the wind carry her hair backward. Her blue eyes were fixed on Ash's hazel ones.

"You're hiding something, aren't you?"

Another wave of light breeze arose. The two just silently stared at each other.

The raven haired boy rubbed the back of his neck, as if he was contemplating on whether to say what he had in mind. Just as Ash was about to say something, they were interrupted as Shauna gave them a yell.

"Ash! Serena! Come here, we gotta show you something!" She exclaimed while gesticulating waving actions with her arms. Serena and Ash glanced at each other, and the raven haired boy smiled.

"C'mon, let's go." He said.
