The third quarter commenced and Kalos High obtained the ball first.

One of their team members had the ball and started dribbling it across the court. Ash ran after the ball, and Hilbert gets in the way. Before he could to anything, the raven haired boy suddenly fell to the ground.

The referee blew a whistle, signaling a foul for Hilbert.

"What the hell? I didn't even touch him!" The boy yelled out in exasperation. Ash only smiled mischievously.

The angle of their position made it hard for the referee to perceive what had happened, so it looked like that Hilbert had pushed him down.

Now, Ash had the ball and sprinted across the court, with Hilbert running after him. Just as he was about to make an attempt for a slam dunk, Hilbert jumped to block but since he was running too fast, he couldn't stop the direction he was going, causing the two to stumble to the ground.

The referee blew his whistle, calling foul on him once more.

"This is not a good idea..." Calem warned as he ran beside the raven haired boy, pulling him up.

"What do you mean? I simply made myself more vulnerable to knock down, that's all." Ash shrugged indifferently. "But since he got three fouls now, I doubt he'll try to do anything rash again. Let's go back to our usual playing style."

Calem shuddered as the raven haired boy jogged away. Gary walked up from behind and chuckled. "You'll get used to it. Despite how Ashy boy's acting now, he used to be the complete opposite back when he was in middle school. Top students, top grades, always burying himself in books..."

"Haha, nice joke." Calem stifled a laugh sarcastically. "It's been two years since I came to this school. And until now, I've only seen him attending class for about twenty times, and eighteen of them was with the same class as Serena."

"A lot have happened," the mahogany haired boy sweat dropped, and Calem just shook his head.

"But come to think of it, he is acting unusually bold today," he added as his gaze fell on the raven haired boy, who was shooting his two free shots for the foul Hilbert had. Both of them made it in without a problem.

"I wonder why?"

The third quarter was over, with the score 68:63. Kalos High was still in the lead.

Serena, Dawn, and Shauna observed the match from the bleachers. The honey blonde was surprised at how proficient Ash had become in basketball in such a short amount of time. Was it because that he already knew how to play it? Or was it because he was motivated?

She blushed as she remembered the deal they made.

"They're not giving up yet," Shauna exclaimed as she jumped up and down in excitement.

"It's going to be close." Serena agreed, then turned to the blue haired girl. "Aren't you going to cheer Gary on?"

She watched in amusement as Dawn jolted up and a blush slowly appeared on her face. "N-no way, I didn't forgive him for what he did yet!"
