Damon's POV

I still can't believe that my brother is best friend with Klaus Mikaelson, the monster that killed Elena, my girlfriend who was possibly the love of my life, she made me be the person I was when I was human, she brought out the humanity that there was in me and Klaus used her for the sacrifice so he could be a stupid hybrid.

Of course I didn't handle losing Elena so I turn it off and after a few nights of just drinking from humans, I realized that Klaus needed to suffer as much as I did, so I had to go to New Orleans, pay a visit to my brother and make Klaus suffer as much as I can with the information I would found from him and it was a bless when I found out that his best friend is no one other than the girl I rapped.

Klaus's POV

I don't like this Damon guy not even a bit. Stefan told me about Damon, and for what I've heard, we can't expect nothing good coming from this Damon guy but that is not what's troubling me the most. Damon and Caroline had some kind of history, I can't say if it was serious or not but it was something that makes Caroline still upset, which means that he probably still is able to mess with her head, which probably means that the thing they had was a big deal to her and that just upsets me because I don't like to see or imagine Caroline with other men that aren't me.

Caroline was really upset, so I stayed with her in the garden, talking about diverse things but none of them matter to me because I only could think about Caroline with Damon.

She did loved him. I know that because she didn't deny it and even if she didn't told me, she wasn't able to deny it...

"What are you thinking, Nik?" She asked me, interrupting my thoughts

"Just about all the things that Stefan told me about his brother. I do not wish to see you near Damon."

"Believe me, I want Damon out of here." She said more to herself.

"Why are you so upset with him? What did he do to you?"

"Like I said before, we had a thing and, to be honest, it didn't end well. But what do you want me to do? To be all happy because an ex is back?"

"I thought you two just had a thing." I said, hoping not sound jealous.

"It's complicated to describe what we were." She said.

"What---?"

"Nik, you are the person I trust the most but everyone has secrets and what happened between me and Damon is my secret and I'm not ready to share that secret with you. I'm sorry." She said, gave me a peck in the cheek and left.

What the bloody hell happened between Caroline and Damon?

I couldn't take anymore so I walked over the living room where was Stefan with Damon and they were both discussing about something when I come in.

"Damon, I need to talk with you."

"Let me guess. About blondie" Damon said and I just gave him a look. "Hey, don't need to be with that face. I'm a friend. I came in peace."

"My office now!" I said and walked him into my office.

"So...? Do you want me to give you some lessons in how to seduce"

"Shut up and listen" I said cutting him off. "I am a close friend with Caroline and I don't know what the bloody hell happened between you two but I can see you are no good so..."

"So what? Don't you believe in redemption? And who are to talk with me about being no good, Mr. Big Bad Hybrid." He said.

"I'm not going to kick you out because that's Stefan's job, but if you hurt Caroline, I can guarantee that you will torture in ways that can not even pass through your mind, I can make your worst nightmares seem like the best dream ever. Now go and be careful with what you do because I don't tolerate someone hurting the people close to me."

"Yeah, that's why you had your brothers in coffins." Damon said and left the office.
