Chapter 10

'And I'll be gone, gone tonight,

The ground beneath my feet is open wide,

'The way that I've been holding on too tight

With nothing in between. ..'

My phone's ringtone started playing, my eyes imediately snapped open and with a groan I grabed my iPhone from my bedside table.

"Hello?" I answered with a raspy voice.

"Hey Row, did I wake you? "I imediately identified the voice as Laurel's.

"Yes, but it's ok, I should have been awake by now anyway. " I answered, well if Laurel's awake, I should have been awake hours ago, usually she sleeps in really late.

"Ok, listen I was wondering if you would like to go to the mall today?" she said shyly.

"Sure Laurel I'd love to. " I replied.

"Awesome, I'll pick you up in an hour. "

"Alright see you then " I said and then the line went dead.

I looked down at my phone 10:00, Wow I rarely sleep in this late. Well I guess it's understandable, since my little encounter last night with those hooligans and, Calan. He left at about 10pm, and after that I made a delicious meal of Choco Pops, which I ate while watching The Amazing Spiderman. I love that movie. So in the end I went to bed at about 1am.

I slipped out of my bed and hopped into the shower, the hot water refreshing me from my sleepy state, I schrubbed my body, till I was sure I was clean.

I got out of the shower, brushed my teeth and applied some light makeup to my face. I then went ovet to my closset and quickly grabbed a pair of white shorts, a light blue tanktop and, my sandals . I slipped into my clothes and looked in the mirror, The outfit looked really cute. I fixed my hair into a messy bun. And with that I went down stairs.

I started munching on an apple, when I heard the hoot of a car. On my way out of the house I grabbed my purse from the coat hanger.

I got into Laurel's car.

"You ready to go, " she asked.

"Yep" I said popping the 'P'.

"Sorry for the short notice, my dad put some money on my card, and I haven't been shopping in like forever, and I didn't want to go alone, so I'm really glad you said you could come. "

"It's fine Laurel really, I haven't been to the mall, since I've moved here, so thanks for inviting me " I said and smiled at her, she returned the smile.

"So how are your parents taking the new job and all? "she asked.

"Err... well good I guess "I haven't really thought all of this through.

"You guess?" she asked.

"I don't really know, I don't have a lot of contact with my parent's, I live alone at that house, my parent's live closer to my dad's job, and both of them work really hard so they don't always have time to call or anything. " I knew I was lying through my teeth, but I couldn't actually tell her the truth, that would be a disaster. Hey, you know everything you know about me, yeah it's a lie, my parents are non-existant, and your dad is also not who you think he is, I'm a spy trying to protect you from an angry russian mob trying to abduct you.
