To the Moon and Back

Chapter 28

"Bye guys." I said hugging 5SOS, Liam, and Zayn. Everyone else said their goodbyes, then we got on the jet.

"Daddy, Hunter said to Niall as Niall buckled Hunter up, "This is really cool! Can I drive it to school?" 

"I don't know Hunt, why don't you ask Captian Rogers." Niall winked. Hunter giggled then took out a book he was reading.

"Hunt, you can read?" Niall asked.

"Yeah I can. This book is about ducks and dragons."  He pointed to the cover. Niall started laughing a bit, as Hunter was 'reading' the dictionary. 

"Only losers read the dictionary!" Melissa yelled from the back of the jet. "Winners read the thesaurus!" I chuckled a little and shook my head. When we were in eighth grade Melissa thought it was cool to read the thesaurus. She was such a freak.

"Nuh uh Aunt Mel! You read the thesaurus and you're a loser, so reading the thesaurus is for losers," Hunter sassed back. Melissa looked completely appalled.

"Where does he get his attitude from? Lewis! You're being a bad influence!" Melissa shreiked at Louis, slapping his shoulder.

"Ow! I didn't do anything! You're the bad influence! And don't call me Lewis woman!" Louis shrieked back.

"Don't call me woman Lewis!" 

"Woman!"

"Lewis!"

"Woman!" I don't know how long they went on like that, but it was starting to give me a headache. They were imbisals. 

"Niall, help me with the Trips?" I said, putting Emma's carseat into a seat and strapping it in. Niall took care of the boys, then we took off. The flight was 7 hours. A long, tireing, stressful 7 hours. Hunter was fine most of the time, he just got antsy and wanted to movce around. The Trips, when they weren't asleep, cried most of the time. Sydney, Harry, Louis and Melissa used sound proofed headphones and had a movie marathon. I wish I could do that. When the plane landed, I looked out the window and saw my Mom and Dad. My Mom was waving to us, and when I waved I saw her smile go from big, to so big that I thought she would pull a face muscle. My Mom and I never had a perfect relationship together. We would always fight over the tiny things, and she would get so mad that I would have to leave the house until she calmed down. One time I was at Melissa's house for an entire week. But through all that, I still loved her and she was my mom.

"Melissa!" My mom screamed, running up to Melissa and hugging her first. Typical. I sighed and walked up to my mother.

"Hi mom," I said, Hunter holding one of my hands. 

"Samantha! I missed you so much! How are you! How are the babies! You really need to come back more! You look grrqat after giving birth to triplets!" My mom just kept going on and on. I just tuned her out and kept hold of her. Niall came out of the plane holding Ashton and Noah. Sydney was behind him with Emma. I released my mom and gave my dad a quick hug, then I went to help Niall out with the babies. 

"Deep breaths babe. Stop worrying over every little thing. Things will be fine," Niall told me. 

"Mr. Spongebob!" I heard Mel scream from behind me. I just chuckled a little. Thank god I would have my two psycho friends here with me to distract my parents. My parents loved them. I saw Sydney just shaking her head at Melissa.

"Leave me with the babies why don't ya," Sydney grumbled. She was not a hapy person after plane rides. Something about them just made her a total grump. Melissa, on the otherhand, was a complete nutcase. She got so hyper. The rest of us just got tired. All I wanted to do was sleep until the Earth was destroyed by a meteor shower. Too bad that wouldn't happen. At least I'd have my parents and Melissa to take care of the kids while the rest of us slept.

"So you guys are gonna all get a hotel right?" I asked Harry.

"Yup. We'll just get a double suite. Mind if we all head over there now? I'm pretty sure we all want to just sleep."

"Awwwwww!" Melissa pouted as she bounded over. "I don't want to sleep. I'm so hyper I could run a marathon."

"Fine. Come back to the house with me then. You can atch Hunter and the trips while Niall and me get some shut eye," I told her, my eyes half closed. Sydney, Harry and Louis rented a car from the airport and headed to the hotel. The rest of us piled into my parents Minivan and headed back to the house. With all the carseats Melissa ended up laying on top of me. I wanted to shoot her in the head several times. 

When we got to the house I kissed everyone and walked staright to my old bedroom and plopped on the bed. I think I was asleep before my head even hit the pillow.

I woke up 3 hours later at 8pm. Niall was sitting in the room, rocking Emma to sleep. Ashton and Noah were already asleep. 

"Hey." He whispered. He stood up slowly, and put Emma in the crib my parents had in the house, "How'd you sleep?" 

"Very well." I smiled. Niall came and sat down on the bed next to me. He kissed my forehead, then I sat up. 

"Lets go downstaris." I said standing up. I quickly brushed my hair, then Niall and I went down into the living room. We hung out for a bit, then my mom asked Ni and I a question.

"So when was the last time you two went out?" She asked.

"Well, it was before Niall went back on tour. So maybe April or May?" I replied.

"Samantha, its August, you need to go out." My dad said. 

"We haven't had the time." Niall said, "With the kids, and the tour..."

"Go out tonight." My mom insisted.

"We couldn't. I don't want to leave you with the kids." I said.

"But Mommy, Grandpa said that he and I were going to play with Legos tonight, and watch movies!" Hunter pouted.

"Are you sure." I asked my mom, and she shook her head yes.

"GO!" She yelled, but we quieted her down because the babies were asleep. Niall ran upstairs and grabbed my purse for me. 

"So uh, are there any other cars besides the MiniVan?" Niall asked.

"We have a TrailBlazer." My dad said, then he took the keys out of his pocket and tossed them to Niall. 

"So where are you taking her?" Dad asked. 

"How far away from New York City are we?" Ni asked.

"About an hour and a half." My dad replied.

"Thats where we are going." Niall smiled, then we said good bye then left for The City.
