Shane's POV

Oh my lord.

I knew Joey would be a wreck.

Right now he's on the grass, sitting next to her lifeless body, trying to talk to her.

I know he's hurting, but talking to her knowing that you're never going to get an answer, its plain stupid.

"And before you go, I want to give you this." I heard him say to her.

He reached in his pocket, and grabbed a necklace. He placed it on her neck, and kissed her forehead.

He walked back over to me, and started crying. I let him cry on my shoulder, while trying to calm him down.

"Shhh, Joey. It's okay. You'll be okay." I say rubbing his back.

He shakes his head in disagreement. "No, I cannot live without her."

"Joey, you will see her again one day."

"Yeah, one day. That's like in-"

"And now we shall let her be placed to rest for the rest of eternity." the Mortician said.

Joey bawled.

God I feel bad for him.

"I miss her so much." he cried.

"I know you do Joey. I know you do." I say rubbing his back.

Joey looked at the coffin lowering. Lowering in the ground, for us to never see again.

I could hear Joey sniffle, and I could see him wipe his eyes.

I put my hand on his shoulder, and tried to calm him down, again.

When the whole casket was buried underground, Joey walked away from the whole area.

"Joey." I say running after him.

He turns around. Tears streaming down his face. "What?"

"Why did you run away?"

"Because I can't see her anymore so whats the point in staying?"

"Joey, the funeral is over anyway, so lets find your mom and lets get out of here." I suggest.

"Yeah." he sniffles.

"Hey." I say putting both hands in his shoulders. "Don't be sad about this. When we get home, and I mean back to L.A, I'll help you out and we will eat some cookies. Okay?"

"Okay. Thanks."

"No problem." I say kissing him.

"I love you."

"I love you too. And our flight is tomorrow by the way."

"Okay. Let's go home."

We start walking to the car to find Joey's mom standing there waiting.

"What took you guys so long?" she asks opening the door.

"I was talking to Shane." Joey replies.

"Well lets get you home then." she says starting the car.

We both get into the car after her, and we speed off back to the house.

Once we get there, I tell Joey to start packing his stuff, and I will be down in a second.

I steal a cookie, and go downstairs. Joey looks at me like I'm crazy.

"What? It's just a cookie." I say starting to help him pack.
