KIM’S POV

Saktong bababa na ako, bigla niyang hinawakan ang kaliwang braso ko which made me stop from the attempt of getting off his car.

Hinila niya ako palapit sa kanya at dahan-dahang inilapit ang mukha niya sa mukha ko.

I could hear my heartbeat. It felt like it was like a pounding bass drum. It was too loud to the point that I couldn’t hear anything aside from my unstable breathing and the strange sound within my organs. I wondered if he heard it too. It’s as if the world stopped by a snap.

He went closer for an inch, tilting his head 35 degrees to the right.

And another.

And another, leaving our lips a 1-inched distance.  I heard a louder beat from my heart.

Lub lub. Lub lub. Lub lub. Lub lub

 

My senses told me to close my eyes so I could feel the moment. This is it! First kiss! I’ve been waiting for you since I was 13. I’ve always been so curious how this first kiss would feel like, how sweet would it be like and how memorable would it be like. I could feel and smell his minty cool breath. The other side of my brain told me that I shouldn’t have eaten those spicy and garlic-filled foods. I’m starting to regret that my mouth is not prepared for my long-awaited first kiss.

Lalo pang lumakas ang kabog sa dibdib ko.

Ramdam na ramdam ko na eh. Sagad na! Konteng push na lang. Gustung-gusto kong hilain ang ulo niya palapit sa akin. But the thought of kissing him scares me. I don’t know how to kiss! I might disappoint him while I embarrass myself. Urgh. What should I do? He even closed his eyes for Pete’s sake! Eto na ba talaga?

The atmosphere turned into a pink garden, filled with flowers, hearts, balloons and butterflies. ‘Yung tipong biglang naging romantic place ang loob ng sasakyan niya. Para bang biglang nagkaroon ng background music na pawang ako lang ang nakakarinig.

“KIMBERLY!”

 

I heard that old familiar voice. Oh crap! Xian pulled out his head away from me immediately. We’re both in the state of shock. I didn’t really know how I should react.
