Cows are still killed for their skins and organs.
Even in this decade of new technology, we still kill cows. Mind you, this isn't just for cows. There are upcoming chapters about elephants, tigers, leopards, and other animals that are poached.
Did you know that most poultry and farm animals are kept in large groups and in confinement? This is so they develop no muscle. This happens especially with veal. Not only are the killed at such a young age, they're separated and only allowed to see the light of day once or twice.
