It was a hot summer night. Kai and Jinora sat on a hill overlooking Republic City. The streets buzzed with cars and the building lights were just turning on. Jinora smiled as she leaned back on Kai who cradled her in his arms. It had been seven years since the incident, Jinora managed to gain feeling back in her legs, though they were weak, they worked. Ever since then, Kai had been her support. The had been going steady for seven years now, it amazed Jinora.

Tonight was no different then every other Tuesday night. They always came up here on Tuesdays.

"Jinora." Kai said, his mouth next to her ear. It sent a chill down her spine. "Do you mind getting the book from my bag. It's by the gliders." Jinora stood up and waltzed over to the bags. She rummaged through his bag and saw nothing.

"Kai I don't think it's.." She turned around and saw Kai on one knee, a ring in hand. Jinora gasped and smiled at him.

"This is long overdue. Jinora... Will you marry me?" Kai said, giving his natural smirk. Jinora ran into his arms.

"Of course."
