“Try again.” Hermione said.

“We have been at this for hours.” I groan.

“Just one more time.” Harry coaxes.

I look between the two knowing I’ll never win, “Fine one more time.”

They smile at me and Hermione starts the drills.

We are in the room of requirement which changed into a practice center with fake people called dummies.

A dummy popped up and Hermione yelled, “Frist.”

I flicked my wand advancing on the dummy. “Confringo!” I yell as the dummy burst into flames.

Hermione puts it out with a water charm as I hop back in forth from foot to foot trying to concentrate.

“Diffindo!” I yell switching my wand at the dummy and watching it slice in half.

A new dummy popped up on my right side.

I elbowed it and turned to face it, I back up a good distance before saying, “Expulso!” I watch the dummy burst into little pieces and smoke fill the room.

“That was brilliant Em, your best set yet.” Harry said patting me on the back.

Hermione looked at me worriedly. “Harry! We don’t know what’s going to be in the maze! What we’re doing now will never be good enough until we know what we’re up against. She’s just a child.”

I grip my wand tightly. “I’m not a child! I’m just a year younger than you!”

“Yes and three years younger than the majority of the champions. They will eat you alive.” Hermione said solemnly.

I knew she was right but I could never see Cedric, or Fleur doing that! I wasn’t so sure about Krum.

“Harry has made it this far. I can make it. He won’t let me die.” I say.

Harry nods in encouragement.

“But Harry can’t be two places at once. He will enter the maze first and you will enter it last, since you are taking Fleur’s place, there is no way he will be able to find you Emma.” Hermione said frowning.
