Chapter Four

Elise’s POV

Charlie just told me that she’s in love with me and the first thing that came out of my mouth was…

“S-since when…?”

Charlie scoffed as she leaned against the wall, “does it even matter?”

I nodded slowly

“…I don’t know…it just happened I guess” she answered

I looked at her, still dumbfounded by what she said earlier

Charlie looked at me and laughed, “so this is what it feels like, being wasted. Damn! We looked like hell!”

Charlie then stood slowly “I’m drunk and kinda dizzy so whatever I just said will be just a blur tomorrow, I’m not even sure what the hell I said, I might not even mean it! so let’s just call it a night and go to sleep!” she then made her way to my room and flopped down on the bed

I maybe drunk, but I’m definitely not deaf, Charlie said she’s in love with me but then takes it back at the last moment?! I don’t know what to think anymore and I’m starting to get a headache so maybe I’ll just sleep too.

Charlie’s POV

I laid on Elise’s bed, still wide awake, I just told Elise I’m in love with her, damn alcohol, got me confessing to her THEN lying to her, I just hope she bought that whole acting drunk thing.

I heard the door close and footsteps towards the bed so I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to sleep

I felt Elise lay down next to me and even with my eyes closed, I could feel her staring intently at me. After a few moments I felt her hand on my cheek and her finger brushed across my lips then I felt her warm breath on my face, I slightly opened my eyes and saw her face just a few inches away from mine, I panicked and reacted

“W-waz goin’ on?” I quickly raised my head and pretended that I was woken up, Elise retracted and stared at me with red cheeks

“N-nothing” she answered, still staring at me

I pretended to rub my eyes as I turn to her “is there something wrong?”

Elise then cupped my face with both hands and gently but passionately kissed my lips, when we parted, I caught my breath and looked at her with a surprised expression and with a heartbeat that’s off the charts

Elise stared at me then held my neck, pulled me closer and kissed me, her kiss deepened and became even more passionate as her hands wandered on my back, I was completely engulfed in the heated moment when something in my head clicked, what the hell are we doing??

I pulled back “w-wait” then gently pushed her away

Elise panted as she looked at me

“Okay, stop right there” I said, controlling my breath as I sat up “last time I checked, I’m the lesbian here, not you”

“W-well, have you ever thought that maybe I’'m a lesbian too?” she reasoned

“You? a lesbian?” I scoffed “You’re kidding right?”

Elise looked at me with the most serious expression ever

I snickered “You have a boyfriend Elise”

“Maybe I’m bisexual”

I giggled “I’ve known you for years, you never once had a crush on any girl. basically, you’re straight as a flag pole” I said “and this “thing” that happened? Is just a reaction you had with what I said earlier which I don’t even remember!"
