Brennan's POV:

I woke up to a sudden scream. In a Sunday morning.

"Brennan! Katie! Wake up and pack your bags!" My mom tells us while hiding her nervousness.

I could tell she was panicking so I go run up to her and hug her

"What's wrong mom?" I say comforting her

"The basement is flooded and we have to evacuate just in case" Mom says kissing my forehead

I just stand there hugging her, so she doesn't freak out

"Ok, I'll go get Katie while you get your important stuff, okay?" Mom says rushing to Katie's room, to get her

I quickly take my backpack and get a bunch of clothes in, flashlight, first aid kit, water bottles, food, my family picture that I loved so much and my phone.

I put my jacket on and rush to Katie's room where I found her crying

"Shh, it's okay Katie" I comfort Katie

"I need to see Annie! I need to know if she's okay!" Katie says crying

"It's okay, I'm sure she's fine. Please hurry up" I say telling Katie to pack her bags faster

Mom went to get her stuff and important papers like our passports and she took some money with her too. Katie, was now done and we all head out the door. All of our trees were down and the water was rising. The wind was blowing really hard and we could barely walk normally

"Mom where do we go?!" Katie asks

"Just get in the car while I call someone for help" Mom says

"Okay"

We hurried to the car and wait for mom to drive us. Katie was crying with fear especially because dad's working and she's scared that she might not see him again. I comfort Katie as mom gets in finishing a call

"Buckle up, we're going to the Leblanc's" Mom tells us

We all buckle up and mom starts the engine until we here someone calling for help

"Help! Help! Someone!"

We all look to see who it was. Mom stops the car and I offer to help the person. It was Mr. Campbell. His wife died 6 months ago and he's been taking it hardly. Poor guy, she was such a loving wife.

"Mr. Campbell, follow me" I say carrying his bags to the car

I ended up dropping one of his bags and it floated away so I hurried to get it. I was focused on getting the bag that I wasn't being careful. I feel a sharp pain in my leg but I didn't mind it and continued to go to the car.

"Buckle up everyone" Mom says to all of us

We were all wet and cold. Katie was comforting Mr. Campbell while I was getting worried where dad was. Mom was praying while driving and all I could do was join her.

Katie's POV:

It wasn't long until we finally arrived at the Leblanc's house. It wasn't flooding but it was still very windy and it was still raining hard. Mom and I help Mr. Campbell walk because he was getting old and weak. Brennan gets the bags and we all hurried to the Leblanc's

Annie's POV:

I was getting really worried about the Donnelly's. Just a 30 minutes ago, I heard their house was flooded and that they had to evacuate immediately. I got so scared for Katie and her whole family but I know it's not time to be a "baby" and it's time to help. Mom told Caleb to go help her with soup for everyone, dad was getting busy of reassuring if our relatives were alright and he was basically a look-out to see if it starts flooding here. I was told to get some clothes and first aid kit in case someone was hurt or wet. Just then the doorbell rings. I rushed to the door to go open it.
