Brennan's POV
Who was Jake talking to?! Was he hiding something?! Did he really have to go outside the room to answer that call?!
All these thoughts run through my head as I sneakily go back to Annie's room.
"Where the heck did you just go?" Katie asks me with her left eyebrow raised
"I was looking for my umm, umm, my phone, yeah" I say nervously
They all look at me like I was crazy
"Brennan, you know your phone's in my purse right?" Katie chuckles
"Well how come you didn't give it to me?" I say not realizing how rude I sounded
"Geez, you didn't even say you wanted it" Katie says rolling her eyes
We all sigh as the room was filled with silence
"Hey Brennan, can I borrow your phone?" Annie says sweetly
I nod and roll my eyes. I forgot she knew my password
"Ooh, cool!" Annie says like a 5 year old
I just gave her a smile while she looks through my phone. Then all of a sudden, someone texts me. I didn't mind it though.
Annie's POV
While I was barrowing Brennan's phone, someone texted him. It read, "Melissa". This seems interesting...
I tap on it and read their conversations
"Wanna hangout tomorrow night? I miss you bunches"
Who does she think she is?!
Well, I may not be dating Brennan but man, he get's girls fast. I was about to read more but Jake came barging in my room causing me to jump
"Umm, I gotta go" Jake says picking up his stuff
"But, you just got here" I say with a frown on my face
"I, uhh, have relatives coming over and I need to go home right now" Jake says rushing out the door
"Bye" I say weakly
"Damn, what's up with him today?" Katie asks narrowing her eyebrows
"Yeah, yeah! He's been weird" Caleb nods
I just roll my eyes pretending like I didn't care about any of those. I look over at Brennan to see him staring at my painting.
"Earth to Brennan!" I say waving my hand at Brennan's face
"Oh, sorry" Brennan says as he snaps out of it
"Here's your phone, thanks" I say with a fake smile
Shit. I just realized how I forgot to exit from Brennan and Melissa's convo. I quickly grab Brennan's phone from his hands while he was still entering the password.
"What the hell Julianna?!" Brennan says annoyed
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry"
Brennan just rolls his eyes and mentally forgives me
"Caleb, I never knew your screen was fixed" Katie says changing the subject
"It isn't, not yet" Caleb says laughing
"Well then, who owns this phone?" Katie says raising a phone
"It must be Jake's"
"Yeah, he might have dropped it while he was collecting his stuff" Caleb says
