Chapter Thirteen

~~~Poseidon's P.o.v~~~

Getting off the phone with Tori i look over to see Hades pouring himself a cup of red wine (Well what looks like red wine). Taking the drive off the table i head to the door to leave to my office when Hades stops me with a

"What did she want?" Hades asks not even bothering to look up

"She wanted to meet"

"Why?"

"Project Alpha, that's why" with that I leave the room

Back in my quarters i pace back and forth for who knows how long. My phone's ring tone snapping me out of my weird pacing haze. Pulling out my phone the caller ID lights up Maria's name.

~~~Phone~~~

Me: Hello

Maria: why you all of a sudden playing nice

Me: what do you mean suddenly playing nice

Maria: you're never nice without an ulterior motive

Me: it's an act, me being evil I had to get Kronos to trust me in order to get close enough to get project Alpha.

Maria: why should I believe you, you tried to kill me twice.

Me: again part of the act, and i'm sorry about that

Maria: no your not you always hated me

Me: not true, I gotta go get ready to meet Tori we'll continuing this conversation later

Throwing on my jacket and grabbing the Alpha file I head out to find the cafe.

~~~Maria P.o.v~~~

"I don't trust him"

"Why not" sighs Tori dropping her pen and throwing her hands in the air

"He has an ulterior motive he always does, that has to be the only explanation for why he's suddenly deciding to play nice" I pace taking a huge gulp of tea.

"If he had another motive what would it be?" asks Tori

"How am I supposed to know" I throw my hands up in the air

"Then why are you saying he has an ulterior motive if you don't even know yourself" dramatically signs a pissed off annoyed looking Tori.

"Never mind" I get up and walk out of the room.

~~~Four hours later~~~

I watch as Tori heads to her car, heading to the meet up with Poseidon following her secretly. I just have this feeling that something wasn't quite right that there was more going on that wasn't being said.

Following her to java joe's turned out to be a lot more like a roller coaster. And here i thought it would be easy. But no nothing in my life ever is, i mean can't a girl get a break.

~~~Phone call~~~

Me: hey I'm going to be late Maria's following me

Poseidon: ok I'm already here

Me: great give me five minutes

~~~Phone call Maria~~~

Me: what are you doing

Maria: reading why

Me: really or are you following me

Maira: i'm at home if you don't believe me I can send you a picture

Me: it's fine I believe you ("no I don't" i whisper under my breath)

Shaking my head at how stubborn Maria could be. Turning onto a dirt road I watch as Maria speeds by, smiling to myself I pull out of the dirt road and continuing on my way. Ten minutes later i'm trying to find parking at java joe's, which is like hell may i add.

"Your late" yells Poseidon from across the room

"Sorry i was dealing with a little Maria problem as you know" I smile lightly patting him on the shoulder.

"I know, I know" he says putting his hands up in mock surrender.

"You ready to come home?" I ask sitting to drink my cup of coffee

"What do you think" he smiles tilting his head to the side

"Alright let's call in the cavalry" I jump out of my seat and call Apollo to gather everyone including Maria in the mansions conference room asap.

Walking into the conference room i see everyone sitting and standing around

"Whats this about?" asks Hera

"Why don't you explain Poseidon" I say giving him the stage as he walks into the room

"Before you all flip your shit there's something you should know, it all started on the day Kronos attacked the sky palace me and Tori came up with this Idea that would help us win this war and in order to do that we needed to get our hands on project Alpha" he explains taking a second to see if anyone had any questions before he continues. " we knew where he was keeping it so we used something called infiltration, Hades made sure that Kronos kept his eyes on Maria, who was also in on this as well, it took way longer than expected but we managed to pull it off and here it is Project Alpha" he takes out a usb drive waving it back and forth for everyone to see.
