Sebastian

Lizzy and I sit now 18 year old Philip and 10 year old Vienna down on the couch. Philip looks less than pleased to have been ripped from 'work' for this.

I was the only one who knew he was writing to Gilbert instead of filling out paperwork. Gilbert is an interesting fellow.......getting involved with human affairs without wanting a contract.

"Just tell me what the hell you want." Philip hisses but Vienna waits patiently for her mother to explain the situation.

I watch Vienna's eyes widen as Ludwig enters the room. He was supposed to be in Germany spending time with his brother.

"What?!" Philip gasps. "But Gilb-" I smirk as Philip cuts himself off.

"Still writing my Bruder I see." Ludwig says with a smile.

Lizzy moves a little closer to me as Philip's blue eyes widen due to embarrassment, the same way Ciel's always did.

"S-shut up potato bas-"

"What your language kiddo." I but in causing Philip to glare at me.

We've gotten as close as Ciel and I were before our romantic affairs. Philip wouldn't admit it but I know he trusts me with his life.

I believed him when he was at his worst. When he was seeing 'him' I knew who it was exactly he was seeing and I understood.

Now he's the only one who believes me. Philip figured it out on his own by reading his father's writings. He's an extremely intelligent kid, able to understand both the strong and the weak.

"So you are probably wondering vhy I'm not in Germany....." Ludwig begins.

"No I'm wondering why-"

"Philip my Bruder would greatly appreciate if you didn't but in every two seconds." I watch those blue eyes fill with tears as he realizes what's about to be said.

"Vienna....." He whispers and gently grabs his sister's hand.

"We're going to Germany." Vienna nearly flies into Ludwig's arms but I notice Philip gazing longingly into Elizabeth's eyes.

"Mother do I get to?" He asks with tears in his eyes.

Elizabeth looks up at me and I feel myself smile.

"Yes, my son, you get to go." Philip runs and wraps his arms around me. Hesitantly I hug back.

"Thank you!" He nearly cries.

I feel my heart start to ache as Philip clutches my shoulders tightly. He's holding his breath to keep from crying.

"Thank you." He whispers again.

"Anything for you." I whisper as memories of Ciel flood into my mind.

Memories of him clinging to me after those few kidnappings that actually got to him. Memories of his gentle kisses.

Philip takes a deep breath before pulling away.

"Come on Vienna! We have to go pack!" Philip giggles at Vienna.

She grabs his hand and practically drags him up the stairs. Philip takes one last grateful glance at Ludwig, Lizzy, and I.

"Does Gilbert know?" Lizzy asks gently.

"Ja, Philip's told him most of the story." Ludwig answers.

The question that should be asked is, does Philip know about Gilbert?

It's quite obvious to me that this 'young man' is a demon. His eyes give it away.

"Even if Gilbert didn't know he wouldn't mind. He's just happy he'll actually get to see Philip." Ludwig assures.

"Sebastian you okay?" Lizzy asks gently.

I take a deep breath and let my eyes drift shut.

"It just.......need a minute." I try to keep my voice even as I make my way across the room and out towards the garden.

I nearly sprint into the hidden area filled with white roses. It's the only thing I have left.

Tears flow freely from my eyes as I inhale the scent of the flowers. Ciel......my dear Ciel. His goodbyes to Elizabeth were beautiful. They seemed to be written by a god, but it was all him.

I helped him for all those years when really he never needed my help. He just needed someone to be there. Someone to push him just a little bit harder.

I clutch the spot in my chest that hurts. The spot just above my still beating heart.

"Ciel." I cry softly.

Vienna

I watch out my bedroom window. Nobody knows that I have a clear view of Father's spot. Well Ludwig knows but he vowed to keep it our secret.

I watch with pain in my eyes as Sebastian sobs father's name over and over again. Mother doesn't think I understand what happened, but I understand everything perfectly.

Suddenly there's a gentle hand on my shoulder. I turn to find brother watching from behind me.

He says nothing, just winds his fingers in my waist long blonde hair. A single tear falls from my eyes.

"Do you remember much about him?" Brother asks softly.

"No, I do remember him clinging to me. Telling me that he'll always love me. I remember the way he smelt." I answer without taking my eyes off Sebastian. He knows more than any of us ever will.

"Father loved us a lot Vienna. He left the one he loved more than anything so we could live." Brother's words cause me to look back up at him.

"Father couldn't have known that Sebastian would hurt this way." I defend.

Philip

I watch as Vienna's little heart breaks. There are some things she'll never understand about Father's sacrifice. She'll never understand because I'll be here to protect her from those things.

"Father knew when he left Sebastian would be badly hurt, but he has us now." Vienna just nods and leans back against me.

It goes silent as we continue to watch Sebastian break. I can tell Vienna wants to ask me something but is slightly afraid to. She gets this way when that happens.

"Bruder liebst du Gilbert?" She asks quietly.

"What? English please." She sighs slightly and I give her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"Brother do you love Gilbert?" She translates.

I can't lie to her. It'll crush her if I do. Vienna has such a fragile little heart.

"Well Vee, I do have great feelings for Gilbert but I'm not ready to say I love him yet." I answer gently and my little ray of sunshine nods.

My own words echo through my mind.

I'm not ready time say I love him yet.

Yet........
