I woke up with a gasp.

It took a while for everything to sink in and when it did, I wished it hadn't. The memory of last night's nightmare left me in a grouchy mood. I sat up as I tried to catch my breath and after a while I realized my phone has been ringing the whole time.

I quickly got up from my bed and rushed over to the bed side tables, grabbing my phone and swiping at the screen.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kat!"

I groaned as Aaron's voice filled my ears.

"Who calls at...6 am??" I looked down at my screen to find out what time it was, causing me to pause.

"Uh, me? Listen, Kat, meet me at the rocks after you get ready there's something I have to tell you."

"But Aaron -"

"See ya there!"

Call ended.

I huffed as I put down my phone and tied my hair in a loose bun.

What was so important that he couldn't tell me through the phone? And didn't he remember what happened last night?

I rubbed at my throbbing temples as I tried to figure everything out. Last night's dream started off like any other I've had, but ended up in a nightmare... literally.

I walked to the attached bathroom and quickly took a shower without washing my hair; it was still a bit damp from last night. I pulled out a pair of shorts and a random t-shirt after I was done with the bathroom and grabbed my phone, stuffing it in my back pocket before leaving my room.

I still felt a bit sleepy as I quietly made my way down the stairs, letting my hair down; I locked the front door after slipping on my slippers and grabbing an apple. I sighed as my teeth broke into the juicy flesh as I walked out the tiny picket fence, sand already building up in my slippers with every step I took.

I walked past the many villas as I made my way to the rocks where we hung out yesterday. I huffed as I took heavy steps towards the area where there were more rocks; we walked a long way yesterday and didn't even realize it.

I could see the top of Aaron's head as I finally neared the rocks, tossing the apple core in one of the green trash baskets.

"I thought you'd never come. What took you so long?" Aaron smirked as I shot him a glare.

"Unlike you, I just woke up." I grumbled, crossing my arms and standing in front of him. He grinned as he got up from the rock he was sitting on.

"Come on," he walked in front of me and I hesitated before following him.

"Ugh, could you slow down? My legs are still a bit sleepy, plus you walk too fast." I complained, staring at the back of Aaron's shirt as I tried to catch up.

"Not my problem you have short legs." He answered and I swore I could hear a smile in his voice, jerk.

Aaron finally slowed down when we reached a villa that looked exactly like all the others at the beach town.

I followed him up the front stairs and into the villa that also looked the same in the inside. I followed Aaron through the archway that led through the kitchen.

It was no question that he was staying there by the way he walked around like he owned it, which he didn't. His family was probably renting it for the summer like mine.

A couple of pans were laid out on the counter top along with regular breakfast ingredients like eggs, bacons, sausages and other food that made my stomach growl with hunger. I blushed when Aaron raised an eyebrow while smiling.
