Chapter 14: Mysteries.
*Violet's POV*
I stood waiting for the car to hit me until Liam jumped and shoved me out the way and held me in his arms. He held me, "VIOLET, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?" I actually didn’t know what to reply to that. Tears fell from Liam's eyes and I felt guilty. I looked at his eyes. I also started tearing. I wiped the tear from his eyes. "Liam, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I just felt that my life is pointless since I lost Louis and Dad. But I won't ever try and do that again."
"Violet, imagine if I was a second late. Don’t ever do that again. I can't lose you. Do you understand what I'm saying?" he said softly but strictly. I nodded and buried my face in his chest. Quietly, I said, "I'm sorry Liam. Never leave me. I will never leave you too." He hugged me tighter and said, "Don’t worry Violet. I never will." For the first time in a while, I smiled. But the smile was actually one from my heart.
*Liams POV*
What the hell was she thinking? Did she possibly think I could live without her? I held her tight. I realized that on the other side of the road, stood Louis, Harry, Zayn, and Niall in horror. I broke the hug and me and Violet went back to join the others. I could see it in Lou's eyes that he wanted to talk to her and comfort her. But he just stood there not knowing what to do. We all stood in a circle, and Violet stood staring at the floor. She didn’t want to look at Louis. I put my arm around her and guided her back. While we were making our way everyone was looking at her. She just hung her head down.

Finally, the funeral was over. I waited as Violet shook hands with the people that came. She didn’t say a word through the rest of the funeral. She didn’t even shed a tear. She was lifeless. When the funeral ended, Violet and I walked back home. She had her iPod in. I stole one of her earphones to listen to which song she was listening to. She laughed and reached her hand out to take it back until I told her, "You don’t want to get tickled do you?" She laughed and shook her head. She was listening to 'Gotta be you'. She looked at me as we both smiled and sang along. Before we went home, we made our way to the beach. We started singing and she seemed to be in a much happier mood. Then we sat down on the sand and watched the sun set.

As me and Liam watched the sunset, I remembered Louis. Liam seemed to read my mind, "Lou wanted to talk to you today."
"Well, why didn’t he?"
"I told him not to. You were really upset and I didn’t want anything to make you more upset."
"Liam, I can't thank you enough." I said with a smile. He gave me a hug and smiled at me. "Do you wanna go home change and then we'll watch a movie night?"
"YES PLEASEEEE!" I said.

When we got home, Liam let me choose the movie while he got the snacks. I changed into my skinny jeans and Liam's purple hoodie. I put my hair in a bun and walked downstairs to pick a movie. I couldn’t lie and tell you I was happy. I wasn't happy because, well… My dad and Louis are still 'gone'. I wondered if Louis loved me. Suddenly, the door bell rang. I went to open it and found Niall. "Hey vee. Having a movie night are you?"
"Hey nialler." I said as I hugged him. "Yeah, well I thought it would help me, you know, cheer up." I said as the tears forming pricked my eyes. He put his arm around me and walked me to the couch. "SO, did you pick the movie?" he said giving me that smile. "Nope not yet. Help me choose." I said smiling back. We searched throught the CD towers and finally, he shouted, "AHAAA! I FOUND IT." He showed me the movie. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. He chose "Finding Nemo". At that moment, Liam walked in with 2 bowls of popcorn. "HEYYY! What are you two laughing at without me?" Niall was grinning, "I found the perfect movie." He held up 'Finding Nemo' to Liam's face and Liam burst out laughing. I called Caitlin and told her to come to Liam's house. She was over as I hugged her tight.

*Liam's POV*
Niall and Caitlin curled up together sharing one bowl of popcorn. Violet and me sat on the other couch. We sat down on the couch with our legs crisscrossed and sharing the other bowl of popcorn. I know it's stupid but were actually watching 'Finding Nemo'. Haha, what a great way to cheer Violet up! The movie was about to start until Violet got a message. "Liam, could you please go read the text?"
"Sure." I said with a smile. I went up to the table where her phone was. I read the text. It was from an unknown number."You're dad's gone. It's your turn now."
