I stared in the mirror and studied my new self in my dress, today was James's wedding and the first day I see my parents after being turned into a vampire, I still couldn't get use to the new me, College was fine, the smell of blood was okay it wasn't the hardest but the pounding of everyone's hearts got annoying very quickly, I now know why Nash looked like death that day he went into the college to find me, it's like beeping horns during traffic jams, I stroked my hands down the light fabric and sighed, everyone at college noticed the difference in me straight away, they asked me what my secret was but I just said it would gross them out if they knew because it would, and about blood, I can feed properly on animals without wanting or killing people it's like all this vampire stuff came natural to me, I got a ring that stops me from getting too badly affected by the sun but when it's really bright sunglasses are the your best friend

Nash walked over to me and kissed my shoulder "you look gorgeous" he smiled against my neck "and you don't look to bad yourself aka you're looking hot as hell" I giggled, he gave me a quick kiss before looking into my eyes "so what where you thinking about?" I looked and him and smiled "I'm worried about this wedding, heartbeats are pretty much my weakness, they drive me crazy because everywhere i turn it's 100 more heart beats ready to test my limits" I grumped "heart beats are truly a nightmare but just drown them out, talk to someone as long as you focus on something, you can easily drown out the noise" his advice always helped me and I was so grateful to have him in my life

"Time to go" he stared at his watched a couple seconds longer before fixing his tie, I smoothed my dress down for the hundredth time before we left.

We walked into the church and already everyone was Staring at me like I was an alien, there heart beats started to drown out my thoughts and all I could feel was the need to tear their hearts out of their chests, I slowed my pace and Nash was pulled back to me "you okay?" He whispered, I shook my head, he quickly embraced me and I knew why he had to do that "it's so loud" I whispered "Kate listen to me okay, right now it's just you and I" he softly said "Kate!" Mum cheered hurrying towards us "Aw sweetheart what's wrong?" She asked concerned "she hasn't been feeling too well the past couple of day, I've giving her some medicine so she can make it through the wedding" Nash smiled "I'll be fine in a minute mum, I just need a minute" I smiled "wow did you do something different, you definitely did, you look fantastic" she smiled "thanks mum, you look so beautiful" I smiled before noticing her nervously squeezing her fingers

"And Nash you are looking very handsome" she smiled stroking his suit gently "thank you ma'me" he smiled kissing her hand softly, she giggled before walking away "I need to go, I'm a bridesmaid remember" I whispered "remember don't think about the heartbeats, just focus on what the priest is saying" he whispered, I kissed him quickly before I walked into the room the bride was in, I smiled at her and she squealed "Kate you're here" she smiled showing her pearly white "I wouldn't miss this day Julie" I smiled, I excused myself quite abit but mum had already spread the news that I wasn't feeling well, before it was time to walk down the aisle, Derek hooked my arms in his and we slowly walked down the aisle, now I really did feel sick because his cologne was clogging my nose and it burnt, I wiped my eyes and hoped that it just looked like I was crying because it was my brothers wedding, I quickly kissed James's cheek before standing in my spot, my eyes widened as I seen Julie's grandmother sitting in front of me with a blood bag, my breathing became ragged and heavy as I listened to the sliding down the tub, I licked my lips and bit my tongue trying to stop myself from lunging towards the bag, I looked around and finally my eyes fell on Nash, and he was signalling for me to breathe, I shook my head in a way that the people here wouldn't notice, I pointed from behind my flowers and his eyes darted over before he turned back towards me with wide eyes, then Julie began to walk down the aisle, everyone watched her and spoke about how beautiful she was and yes she was beautiful but that blood bag was more appealing
