RECAP:

Kylie my sweet, you are considered in the Prince's mind; at least, already

attached to him. That Prince, is the prince of my country."

He was looking into my eyes making me nervous. He continued,

"To attempt to pursue the woman who is attached to the Prince is at best very

unwise. To kiss her, could be considered close to treason. Though, technically I

would not be breaking any laws unless you were officially and publicly engaged

to Prince Emmet, announced as Princess-in -waiting Kyliette of Terinian, the

future Queen."

He paused,

"Now, without you being officially or publicly being attached to him in any way,

I am under no mandate to withdrawal my interests, or interactions with you."

I looked at him stunned.

"You are just meaning interactions of a romantic nature, correct. Surely, you can

be friends with his official intended?"

"That is correct.

So, I stand by my feelings toward you; however, I will not actively pursue you

or try to win your heart. I have several reasons for that, one is I know your

heart belongs to another, even if you still deny it. Second, I know you do not

wish me to do so; therefore, I would not do anything I knew that would displease

you. Third, I would never do anything to risk the lost of our close friendship,

Finally, I would not do anything to risk my long friendship with Prince Emmet.

We are cousins after all."

He chuckled at me, I guess my eyes were as big as saucers.

"Now, to put the subject to rest, my sweet.

"I might not actively pursue you; however, I will not deny myself of potential

happiness. If you were to choose my proposal without my influence, I would step

up to marry you even if that required me to renounce my title. And would never

think twice about it. I hope you have a clear understanding on the subject of,

Prince Emmet's desire of marriage to you along with my desire of marriage to

you."

Holy mother of pearl, did he just ask me to marry him?

I am speechless.

"Umm hmm umm err..."

He busts out laughing,

"Wow Kylie, that has to be a first for you. Why are you so surprised? I have
