I really like the fact that Serana asks about your family, everyone else is too busy asking you to do things then to ask about your life. I think that was what made me care for her more due to the fact she actually bothered to ask who I really was. Nobody else does that, I feel like Serana actually cares about you more than just the person who freed her but as a friend, a true friend. I like that in her, I really do.
