Chapter 2

Grace's POV

I was restless the next morning, I had tossed and turned all night trying to stray my thoughts away from those dreams... and that stranger.Unfortunately though, as my mother had pointed out, I had to wake up early for my lifeguard shift at the beach. The worst part was, not that I really minded, I wasn't even getting paid, I had offered to do so for the community hours, not the money. I had my job at the dinner for such needs.

I reluctantely dragged myself out of bed, and into the shower.

I stood there in the cold water, slowly waiting for the water to warm up, it only took a few short seconds but those few short seconds had me wide awake, for now at least.

I washed my hair and my body quickly, not really caring, being as by the time I got home from a long day life gaurding in the blistering sun, I'd be sweaty and smellin' like the beach, therefore I'd be taking another shower.

"Goodmornin' honey." My mom greeted me in the kitchen when I made my way downstairs. I wore only short black swim shorts over my bikini bottoms and a tank top covering my bikini top. Personally if I had any say in what I should wear, it'd be a one piece with boy surf shorts, but being as it was the beach, I had to wear very little clothing as possible in order to be able to manuever through the water easier if need be.

Then again I was sure I was supposed to wear a one piece, but my boss was a total pervert and insisted I wear the bikini.

"Goodmornin' mom."I said, while preparing myself a bowl of Secial K cereal.

"How was your night?" My mom asked.

"Good, Marissa visited me at work, which was nice of her." Until she called me a slut, but of course, I didn't tell my mom this, she already wasn't to fond of her as is!

"That's good."She said.

"And, you? How was your night?" I asked, trying to fill the silence void between us.

"Good, good. Your father decided to surprise me  and actually take me out on a date. So that was nice."She said, while blushing a little 'bit.

"That's good." I said, echoing her words.

After a few more awkward moments, I decided then was a good moment to head out towards the beach.

"Well, I better get going, bye mom." I said, while going to kiss her goodbye on the cheek.

"Bye honey, see you later."

"Yup." I said, popping the 'p'.

I felt heat the second I took a step out of my A/C-ed house. I sighed, before closing my front door, it was going to be a very long, very hot day.

I walked towards the beach while soaking in the early vitamin D rays, I still didn't understand why I needed to be here early, no one ever went to the beach at 8 AM anyway, but my boss told us, the other staff members, that he's hired a new person and he wanted us all to meet him, so we had to get there early to meet him and teach him the basics.

I strolled out of my neighbourhood, and down the still empty road that would lead me to the beach, I wanted to text Marissa but I knew she would hate me for waking her up so early on a Saturday, besides she's probably with her boyfriend.... Egh!

I finally made it to the beach and towards the beach house, which was pretty much the staff house. It wasn't even a house it was more like an open spaced cabane, there was of course 2 bathrooms and a bedroom type of thing, for any sick staff members.

It wasn't until I drew closer to the cabane that I noticed and slick new car in the parking lot, it was silver and definitely raditated ' my owner has cash!'. It must've been the new employee, because I was certain no one I knew that worked here, could afford any car like such.

"Hey Grace." My boss called out to me when I made my way into the cabane. Eveyrone turned towards me in a chorus of ,' Hey Grace.'

But I noticed, someone standing in the corner with a white muscle top and red swim shorts, which complemented his whole behind physique perfectly, hadn't turned around immediately. He was obviously the new guy, but I hadn't recognized him right away before he turned around and faced me head on, his blue clear eyes, aiming right at me with a grin on his face.I was instantely mesmorized but his good looks again and I couldn't help a blush creep on my face when I remembered my dream last night, and what it was he had done to me....

My boss's voice is what brought me out of my dreaminess at having seen him again, and here!

"Grace, this is Edward Sullivan, he's your new apprentice, it's your responsability to teach him mouth to mouth. You're training starts today!" My boss cried out cheerfully, while Edward just grinned at me as though he new what my blush meant, I turned to stare at my boss who had made his way behind me.

"What?!" I exclaimed to him.
