A Day For The Two Of Us

Ash's POV

It has been 4 days since Serena got out of the hospital and little by little she's starting to act like herself again. I don't know what happened to her and I don't want to ask her maybe she would go all moody and sad again and I'm not living through hell again!

Guess what? It's Serena's birthday! April 14 is the love of my life's birthday and I'm planning a surprise date for her.

Today was just an ordinary day nothing bad has happened yet and maybe just maybe our date would be perfect.

I want it to be perfect

"Ash.."

Just like her

"Ashy?"

I want to tell her

"Ash..."

That I love her

"Ash!"

I snapped back to reality, I saw an iritated looking Serena who was pouting "What's with you? You've been daydreaming all day" she pouted even more "Sorry, I'm just thinking that's all" I said, Serena nodded and leaned her head on my arm "Feels good to finally have some free time" Serena said "Yeah, I would give everything I have just to be with you" Serena smirked at my words "Even Pikachu?" I sweatdropped "Umm" she giggles "Don't even think of trading Pikachu just for me ok?" I nodded

Serena can be so selfless sometimes, she won't hesitate to sacrifice herself just to save people and Pokemon just like me.

This is it! My chance to ask her out!

"Hey wanna go somewhere romantic?" She looks at me with a surprised expression "Are you asking me out?" She asked "Yeah why?" Her jaw dropped "Ash Ketchum the dense as a rock boy asked me out on a date! Call me Arceus, because I made a miracle!" She exclaimed

I'm not that dense....am I? Nevermind that, she said yes! Believe it or not this is actually our 5th date and yes I know it's been 5 months and we only had 5 dates, but give me a break! She's more hard to get than she looks!

"Anyway what time should we go out?" She asked "How about 4:00?" I suggested "Okie dokie" she grins.

Serena went to her own separate room to pick which clothes would she choose and luckily I already picked mine, so all I have to do is tell the others the plan has began.

I took out my phone and dialled Dawn "So she said yes?" Dawn asked "Yeah, are the notes and hints ready yet?" I asked "Yeah, well goodluck!" Dawn exclaimed and ended the conversation.

A couple of hours pass and we were ready to go on our date. Serena decided to wear her red dress and she looks so beautiful!

We headed out to our first destination and that is the forest where we met.

"Ash where are we going?" Serena asked "I covered her eyes and led her to the exact place where we met. "Ta da!" I removed my hands from her eyes and she looked around smiling.

"Ash you still...." she was lost for words as she stare at the trees and bushes giving her the feeling of nostalgia.

"I can never forget that" I smiled, she leans in and gave a kiss "I love you" she smiles "Me too" we gave each other a hug.

"Now let's go to the other destination!" I exclaimed "Wait wha-" I cut her of by dragging her to a fancy restaurant just by the exit of the forest where there is a lake and a waterfall

"Wow!" Serena said in an awe, I smiled at her behavior she's just like a small girl seeing a lake for the first time "Well let's go" she nodded and we entered the restaurant

"Ah, Ash Ketchum right this way" I need to thank the others for helping me out with this date plan

"Since when did you ask for a reservation?" She asked "It's a secret" I playfully said "Mmmm" she pouted "You enjoying yourself?" I asked "Yeah this is the best birthday date surprise ever!" Wait what?! "HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" I never told her! "You were talking in your sleep dummy" she innocently smiles

"So my plan got ruined by my sleep talking?" She nods "Even though this is the best gift you could give me" She said while blushing a bit, I love it when she blush

"So what do you want? I pretty much paid for everything here you know, cause' being Champion made me rich like heck" she giggled "Don't brag Mr. braggy pants people can hear you ya' know" she pointed out

The waiter approached us "What will be your order?" He politely asked "I'll have steak while the fine lady here gets.." I signalled her to tell her order "Salad and steak please" The waiter nodded and headed to the counter

"Salad?" She looked at me "What?" She asked "Are you on a diet, because you haven't eaten any vegetables lately" I teased "Hey! I'm not fat just so you know" she stated feeling a bit embarrass at the volume of her voice

A couple of minutes past and our food finally came "Cheers for this birthday!" I announced "What ever you say Ashy" we both chuckled and began to eat

The food was great! I could recommend this to the others if they're planning for a date or seomthing. Anyway we finished eating and left the building leaving us to gk to the final destination

We headed towards our house pretending that the surprise was over, I opened the door and a big surprise blasted on Serena's face

"What?" Serena stood there looking for the words for our surprise party "You like it?" She nodded as tears began to build up in her eyes

"Best birthday ever" she uttered "Anyway let's party!" Gary exclaimed

We all partied until midnight

Serena's POV

I'm lost for words...how did they even do this without me noticing?

I'm really greatful for having friends like them and now I don't need to worry, because surely I won't loose myself by darkness again
