Josie was a mess. She laid on the bed for what seemed like years. She didn't look at me. I'm not complaining but I don't like to see her this way. The phone rang. I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rick," a voice replied.

"T'Sup Hunter?"

"Nothing much man," Hunter answered. "I hear your settled down. Who is the poor girl?"

I smirked. "Her name is Josie Berlin. And she's seventeen."

"Whoa man," Hunter admired. "Way to go."

"Guess what?"

"I don't know bro," Hunter replied.

"I'm going to be a dad," I answered.

"Your joking. Right?"

"Nope."

"Wow man," Hunter sighed. "So I feel awkward giving you this news."

"What?"

"It's Preston man. He and Judee are getting married."

I took a sharp breath. Josie looked up at me.

"Judee?"

Josie's eyes widened.

"Yeah man," Hunter laughed. "Preston wanted me to tell you. He wants you to come and be a groomsman. The band back together again. So are you coming?"

"When is it?"

"May fourth."

"Josie will be seventeen weeks along," I explained.

"And?"

"And it might be to hard on her to...."

Josie took the phone.

"Hunter? Hi it's Josie."

She laughed, "Yes. We will be there. Thank you. Bye."

She hanged up the phone and looked at me.

"If I can deal with this -starting now- you can deal with this. You wanna know why?"

"Sure."

Josie smiled. "We have each other. And our daughter."

"Josie that's nice...Wait!"

I grinned. "When did you...?"

"At my last doctor's appointment."

Josie kissed me. She pulled back and grinned.

"We're having a baby girl!" she cried.

I spun her around. Josie laughed kissed me. She pulled me closer. Josie nodded. I grinned and lead her to our bedroom. Knowing that things are going to be okay.
