Track 18

Bien and Chi were busy as usual. It looks like I'm the only one who got handful of time. Joke. Medyo busy din naman ako. Self-proclaimed nga lang. Siguro advantage ng puro major ang subjects and I learned how to let go the art of cramming. Puro output-based kasi ang requirements at exams namin. So as much as possible, tapusin ko na habang maaga pa para may ample time rin ako to go to gigs at mag-relax to fight stress. Which is successful naman so far.

Ice and his band were my buddies fighting against PCD. Yup, we went together. Historical talaga eh, 'no? But for me, it is.

We were spending the last two weeks of school before Christmas break together. We were hanging out during our free time but just pretty much anywhere. Library, cafeteria, lovers' lane (na wala namang lovers), sa university  field or during their band sessions. I didn't know na clingy pala ang mga 'to but I find it cute.

And today was no exception.

"May togs Daydream Cycle mamaya sa 'Guijo. Album launch. Game?" Miggy beamed like a kid, referring to the underground punk rock band we currently dig in.

My eyes widened and excitement filled me. Yay! I'm dying to see them live!

I nodded vigorously. That's how stoked I am. They burst out laughing with my reaction.

"But someone got an exam tomorrow." Ice commented. Nahinto sa pagtawa sina Miggy at nagtatakang tumingin sa kanya. Ice shifted his gaze at me. My eyes widened again when I remembered my last exam for this year.

Holy chizwiz! May written quiz kami bukas! The timiiiing! Ngayon na nga lang may written exam, sumabay pa!

I slumped my back against the library's chair, pouting.

"Awww, so hindi ka pwede mamaya?" Luigi asked, disappointment etched across his face.

"Gagawan ng paraan." I stated.

"Yan tayo eh." Natatawang ani Yosef.

"Are you sure?" Paninigurado ni Miggy.

"O'naman. I can review now."

"Ayaw talagang mapag-iwanan ah." We laughed in unison with what Ice said. We kept it low but still chuckling. Syempre 'no.

They introduced me to a lot of amazing and good bands.

And I'm thankful. Totoo. Parang mas lumalawak yung paligid ko, especially in terms of music. Before, I was just enclosed to what I usually listen into although mga indie bands din naman yun pero ngayon, mas marami pa akong nakikilala na magagaling na artists at musicians.
