Chapter Sixteen:

The last day of school passed by sort of slow, I only had to do three finals and the rest of my classes were just free periods where we could talk or read or do whatever.

I received my Algebra test back and I made a B! I was overly excited and just had to show Bradin after the class. He congratulated me and told me we would have to celebrate my passing.

After school I followed Bradin out to his car, suddenly remembering about the party I realized I had forgotten to ask Bradin if he wanted to go. “Hey Bray, Riley is throwing a party at his house and all our friends are going, wanna go with me?”

He shrugged, “Sure, it doesn’t matter to me. I’ve got to drop you off and head home and help out with chores today but I’ll pick you up at six and we can go over to Rileys.”

“Awesome!”

He dropped me off at home and I decided to take a nap before the party.

A few hours later I got up and hopped into the shower. Getting out I rummaged through my closet, trying to find something casual yet stunning to wear.

"What to wear…what to wear?" I hummed to myself as I began pulling out random skirts and mismatched shirts.

No that won’t work, nah not that either. Ugh! How come it’s so hard to find an outfit!

I finally settled on a white flowy skirt that went to my knees and a black lacy spaghetti strap. The skirt made my tan legs look really good. I found my black heels and slipped those on.

Time for makeup! I brushed on some eye shadow and mascara. The eye shadow really brought out my green eyes. Putting on a little blush and some lip gloss I checked myself out in the mirror, content with my makeup.

Now I just need to find something to do with my hair. After attempting to pull it up I finally decided to just let it down, and used some mousse to keep my natural curls from frizzing.

Just as I finished I heard a knock on the front door. Bradin’s here! I thought happily as I grabbed my purse and ran down to meet him.

Throwing open the door I took a good look at him.

He cleans up well I thought as I gave him an appreciative smile. He was wearing a pair of dark loose jeans and has a white and blue button up shirt that he left partially unbuttoned, and a white muscle tee was showing from underneath it. He had the sleeves of the button up rolled up to his elbows and his shaggy hair was of course covering his beautiful eyes as always.

He looked so good! It took everything I had not to jump on him right then and there.

He was watching me the whole time I was eyeballing him, a smirk placed on his perfect face. “Take a picture Princess, It’ll last longer.”

“Can I? You look sexy!” I laughed as I playfully hit his shoulder.

He caught my hand and held it, “Thank you, you look amazing yourself Gabby. You’re beautiful.”

I sighed contently. This boy sure does know how to make me get butterflies in my stomach.

“Thank you. Ready to go?”

We arrived at Rileys and already the party was in full swing. Once we entered the house we found Jace and Allie right off the bat. They were all over each other in the hallway. Bradin and I exchanged glances and laughed before walking into the living room to find the rest of the gang.

After finding Avery, Kyrie and Riley we settled down onto one of the suede couches, watching as a few others danced around in the dining room to “Tonight I’m Loving You”.
