Ava - Chapter 3

"But Miss! It’s my room!" Queen of the skanks whined at Mel

"You know the rules Morgan, first come first served. Ava was here before you, she got the room before you. Deal with it."

"Now this is sorted ill be off! Laters Mel!" I jumped up from the sofa that I had been laying across.

I walked back to my room realising people were giving me weird looks... Oh right I'm still in my pyjamas... Ah well! I strutted to my room like I owned the place, if I looked embarrassed I would have been mocked!

"You have got to be kidding me" I groaned, 2 girls were standing in my room. At least that doesn’t look as bad as skank 1 and 2...

"Oh hey! Are you our roommate? I'm Astrid and this is Emerald" she pointed at the other girl. What odd names?

"Cool, I'm going back to bed" I jumped back and snuggled into the covers! Bliss!

"She's from England! How cool!" I think Astrid said?

"Yeah! She doesn't seem too happy though? I mean it’s not like we are going to be bad roommates..." Guessing that voice was Emeralds’.

They carried on their quiet chatter as I fell back to sleep, I can deal with roommate problems later!

"Hey England, England wake up!" Someone was shaking me, whoever it was we are not going to be friends

"You have 5 seconds to stop shaking me before I rip your head off." I threaten still with my eyes closed. The hands stopped shaking me

"Oh well... It’s just we have to go to the welcome meeting in half hour... I thought you would want time to get ready..." Okay, maybe I can reconsider the friendship.... I rolled over and groaned before opening my eyes revelling two confused eyes looking back at me "you know you have slept since 11 and its now 4?"

"Yeah, I like sleep? Big deal?" Jheez was I not allowed to sleep!?

"Um okay... Well we are going to the lounge before the meeting?" Why is she saying it like a question?

"Okay, why are you asking me? You want permission or something?" I raised an eyebrow

"Oh uh no..." She trailed off

"What Em means is do you want us to wait for you to come with us?" Clearly this is Astrid; I like her she seems to not beat stuff round the bush

"Na thanks, I'm a big girl."

"Okay see ya... What's your name?" Astrid asked. They are sharing a room with you, tell your name. It’s not like your sharing secrets with them!

"Ava" I got out of bed and walked to the conjoining bathroom and shut the door

"Well see ya Ava!" They said and I heard the front door slam.

"All students to the performance Hall, now!" Sue shouted over the tanoy. Bang on time is just finished my makeup and was dresses and ready to go. I walked into the hall that was already packed and sat down on an isle seat next to some random dude. Once everyone had seats and hushed down Melody came to the front of the stage

"Good afternoon everyone! Welcome back to Melody School" yeah she named the school after herself! "And for the new comers welcome! Now I want to start this year's 5 week course on a high, we have over 300 students this summer so classes will be bigger than last time however we are going to be set doing group work and other fun stuff!" Mel paused and look round the hall and then caught my eye, so I stuck my tongue out at her, she giggle then tried to compose herself "yes, well I'm not going to bore you all with a big long speech but ill hand you over to Miss Winters for a moment" she sat down then looked at me and shook her head, I just smiled back. After Miss Winters had droned on we were finally let out and everyone seemed to head towards the lounge (my guess is that's where everyone hangs out!) I walked into the lounge and took a seat on the sofa and just watched as more people flow in I felt the sofa dip

"Didn't know you were on the course."

"Why would you? I don't tell you things." I bit back

"Do I get to know your name yet?" Why is this Jamie kid even here?

"No, you’re a stalker." That's my conclusion. Why else would he be here!?

"I sing and dance" he said in a duh tone

"And also if I was a stalker, I would already know your name" he has a point... But still!

"You could be lying.” He just stared at me like I'm crazy

"Hey Ava! I thought you weren’t coming down?" Astrid said. Great now he knows my name! I was going to have fun and give fake names. This girl is a kill joy.

"Yeah well after the whole welcome shiz everyone came here, so I thought I'd check it out" I mumbled, so getting her back for this!

"Well Ava" Jamie said highlighting that fact that now he knew my name "might see you around"

"If you’re lucky" oh no! I used that one before

"Well I was lucky the last time" he smiled

"Let's hope your luck runs out" I said bluntly as he turned around shaking his head

"You know who that is, right?" Emerald said with sparkling eyes

"Yeah, some tramp from the skate park" well he looked like a tramp the first day I saw him!?

"That's Jamie Andreous!" She said his name like his famous or something "he is like one of the hottest boys who go here! And has amazing singing and dancing talents!" Right, I really don't cared

"Uh huh" I just got up and walked away from Emeralds’ little "I love Jamie" fan club thing she's got going on.
