I made my way to cross country, it was only about a ten minute walk from my house, plus this could count as a warm up, this was probably the only night I enjoyed during the week since it was just me to myself and doing what I love.

"Good evening, Summer" My coach Jess smiled

"Evening, Jess" I smiled

"Not everyone has turned up tonight, something about a school dance thing, so the remaining runners just do a few laps round the tracks, just as long as you're all doing something, y'know?" She smiled

Thank god, that'd mean all the chirpy girls from Sunview High wouldn't be here since they've been talking about their school dance for the past 4 months. Tonight it'd just be me and a few more girls running till I couldn't bare it anymore.

I went into the changing rooms and got changed, I slipped on my running pants which were kinda' like leggings but quater way, my nike running shoes which were bright purple, my favourite colour and a crop top nike running vest. I packed everything into my locker and done some stretches before heading back out.

"Alright Summer" Leah smiled as she walked into the changing rooms

"Hey, Leah" I smiled

"You heard about all the Sunview girls not being here?" She smirked

Even though me and Leah didn't speak that much because we were too into the running, we both shared our hate for the girls so we couldn't help but smile like maniacs at each other.

"Sure have" I smirked back

"Thank fuck for that" She laughed

"I know! Anyway, see you on the tracks Leah" I smiled before leaving

I couldn't help but smile as I came onto the tracks, it was evening which made it a dark night but it was still humid out which made it even more perfect. I began running round the tracks passing various girls, it was weird how you can see people all the time for a few years yet only know their name. It's weird how people have different stories about them and you'd never know. Like none of these girls realise my Mom is a raging alcoholic and makes my life a living hell, and they never will.

"Keep going Summer, you're doing great!" Jess smiled as I ran past

I nodded and smiled back at her.

It's weird how about a year ago just running as much as I already have I'd probably be passed out on the floor panting for breath, but now it just makes me feel better about myself.

More and more girls gave up until there was only me and a girl called Sophie left running on the tracks, I kinda' secretley hated this girl, well not exactly hated, more like jealousy. She had everything. She was pretty, popular, had my dream car, all the money she could ever wish for, a nice house, a good job, I needed to out run her.

Keep going Summer.

I was starting to breath heavier now, but I managed to over take her. Just give up already Sophie! Let me win something for a change!

Okay I think I might be going crazy, why did I want to be the last runner? I guess it's the simple things in life that get me by.

"You win Summer, maybe next time ey?" Sophie laughed

Huh? This was the first thing this girl had ever said to me after so many years of coming to this place, I was surprised she even knew my name, but I couldn't help but smile noticing that I had won.

"Maybe!" I laughed while I continued running

I ran once more around the track then gave up on the spot and kneeled over while reganing my breath.

"Impressive" A voice spoke

My head shot up, I thought everyone had else had gone in?

"You are seriously stalking me aren't you?" I questionned

How the heck had Cole managed to find me here? I didn't tell him I'd be here...so how...what the fuck?

"I just can't help myself, Frizzy" He winked

I raised an eyebrow and made my way up to the row of seats he had been sat on, how long had he been sat here?

"How long have you been here?" I asked

"I got here about half an hour ago, you can run for a long time" He laughed

"How did you know I was here?" I asked once again

"I text Mollie, since you wouldn't tell me what you were doing tonight, I couldn't help but wonder" He smirked

He had actually been thinking what I was doing tonight? What does it matter to him? And why did Mollie give my location away! Now he knows where I'd be every Thursday, god dammit this is my escape from everyone!

"You're weird" I muttered

"You love it, cmon" He spoke patting my back as he stood up

"What? Where are we going?" I asked

"Back to mine, we need to crack on with this project!" He smiled

His smile really was the cutest thing ever, I can admit that, it doesn't mean I like him...right? Right.

"What?! We only got given it today! We can start it tomorrow Cole" I protested

I was not going round to Cole Chapmans house in my running gear, but if I asked to go home he'd only want to come with me wouldn't he? And my Mom was more than likely drunk, I mean it is like 9pm. No way.

"Better to start now than later, you'd know" He smiled implying my eagerness to finish homework

There was no getting round this one. Atleast I brought a baggy hoody with me in the changing rooms, but I couldn't help notice Cole scanning over my body, which made me feel kind of vunerable, since half of it was exposed.

"Are you really checking me out when I'm looking right at you Cole?!" I moaned

He shook his head and a redness creeped up onto his cheek, how did I have the power to embarass this guy? He did look cute when he was embarassed though.

"Sorry, go get ready, I'll wait here" He muttered

I nodded and went into the changing rooms, I looked in the mirror, damn I looked a mess, and he still checked me out when I looked like this? Score.

I put on my hoody which practically drowned me, and let my hair down which only made me look like a poodle, guess the nick name Frizzy will be used alot tonight. Luckily I had some mascara in my bag which I put on quickly making my eyes look a little bit bigger and sprayed myself with my favourite perfume Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

"Let's go Frizzy" He smiled as he noticed me

I shook my head while smiling and we both got into his car. Who thought me, Summer May would be going round to Cole Chapmans house?
