I went up stairs cause my phone was ringing I left the popcorn on the counter when I got there I answered it with out looking at the screen & heard a voice that almost made me throw up.
“Hello baby missed me” john said
I stared at the wall with tears forming in my eyes “What do you want John?” I said gritting my teeth
“Now is that a way to talk to your man like that ”he said chuckling a little
“Please just leave me alone” I begged crying
He laughed an evil laugh“Oh don't worry baby I'm coming to find you & when I do ima have you all to myself & we gonna go where no one can bother us love you see you soon my love” he said then hung up the phone
I dropped my phone shaking really bad crying I went to my closet grabbed my suitcases & started packing my stuff, then I walked out the room with my things ready to leave that's when Corey & Destiny looked at me crazy
“Where the hell you going?” Corey asked
“I can't stay here John just called me & told me he's coming for me & I don't want to put my family in harms way” I explained to them rushing towards the door but was stopped when Destiny stepped in front of me & grabbed my things
“You are not going anywhere we are your family we would never let you runaway it's time to stop running & fight” she said pitying my stuff down grabbing my hand pulling me towards the couch
I layed my head on her shoulder & cried while she wrapped her arms around me rubbing my back up & down
“Yeah she right Nicki family stick with one another we are not gonna let him hurt we here for you, if his black ass roll up to this house & cross that threshold like he gonna snatch you up outta here he catching a bullet to the chest” he said looking at me eating some chips & dip
“Thanks guys how can I ever repay you” I said wiping my tears away
Corey put the chips down dug his keys out his pocket threw them to me “Here wash my car ” he said then we all burst out laughing
“Well thanks for cheering me up you guys”i said looking the both of them
“Oh you welcome baby” Destiny said hugging me
I wiped my eyes once again got up grabbed my things & took them up stairs to put them away then I grabbed my phone cause I decide to call Anthony he I unlocked my phone dialed his number he picked up on the fourth ring
“Hello beautiful” he said & I could hear the smile in his voice
“Hi handsome what are you doing” he chuckled
“I just got off work finna head home wassup with you” he asked
“Im actually not feeling well” I said
“What's wrong you sick or something?” he asked & I could hear the concern in his voice
“No I'm not sick at all it's my ex boyfriend he's looking for me” I told him
“Is he trying to hurt you, cause I'll beat that nigga ass” he down
“No I don't want you getting into any trouble, but can you come over to my cousin house I'm ready to tell you why I ran away from him” I said
“Yeah just text me the address” he said
We said our byes hung up & I texted him the address I went to go take a shower cause I felt ditty after talking to John 29 minutes later I heard the doorbell & then Corey crazy ass yelling
“NICKI SOME MAN AT THE FOR YOU I DONT KNOW WHO HE IS!!!!” he yelled I bet he looking at poor Anthony mean
I went downstairs to the door “I know I called him to come over so I can talk to him, Anthony these are my cousins Corey & Destiny” I told him pointing to them two
He waved “Hey wassup nice to meet y'all”
They shook his hand “OH! So you are one of the Williams man both our families go way back but anyway we gonna let you two go in the kitchen & talk” Corey said closing the door
I grabbed Anthony hand & led him to the table & sat him down with me “Ok I bring you here to tell you why I'm worried my ex will find me
“Ok I'm ready just take your time” he said looking at me while holding my hands
I took a deep breath “Well it all started a year & a half ago when I first met John he was so sweet got me anything I wanted was there with me when I felt down or bad but after a few months of dating him & moving in with him things started to turn upside down” I felt the tears form in my eyes
“Its ok take your time babe” he said wiping a tear away that fell from my eye
“A-after a few months of being with him his job got real stressful for him & he would come home real tired & tensed so I tried massaging his shoulders but that didn't work so one day I was cooking & he came in drunk started acting crazy accusing me of cheating or other little things but when I tried to calm him down he hit me & from that day on he would beat me he even raped a few times & told me if I tell anyone that he do this to me he will kill me so I never told anyone I was too scared of what he might do until I got the courage the other day I left him while he was in New York for a meeting now hes back & just called me telling me he's coming for me” I explain everything to him & by the time I was done he had his arms wrapped around my body with my head in his chest.
“its ok I'm here for you babe you have me to protect you now, don't worry I won't let him come near you & I put that on everything” he said while rubbing my back up & down
“She needs to be watched while we are at work cause we don't know when that bitch will come for her” Destiny said while coming in the kitchen with Corey behind her
“She can come to my job with me I'll keep her safe, do you guys need any of my homeboys to protect y'all” he asked, wow he must not know all of my mother side
“HA! Boy you funny” Corey & Destiny said at the same time
“Im telling you they don't need help they some damn soldiers just wait till you see them in action its not pretty” I told Anthony looking up at him wiping my face
He chuckled “Are they that bad?” he asked
We all just looked away “Well anyway while they are at work you can come on my job with me” he said kissing my forehead I nodded my head
“Alright enough of talking bout this ass eating bitch let's go finish watching movies” Corey said getting up going into the living room we all got up following him shaking our heads laughing
That's how the rest of the day went us watching movies me & Anthony on one couch cuddling & Corey, Destiny on the other
I hope John doesn't come for me cause I do not want to get nobody in trouble with my situation.
