Kathryn's POV

I awoke on my bed to the sound of shouting.

"Jacob! Jacob! Are you okay?" asked a very worried Thor.

"I'm fine," Jacob hissed. I looked at him curiously. He was lying on the floor, scowling. But when my eyes met his, he cracked into a grin. "Hey, sleeping beauty," he teased.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

"He had an anxiety attack," Thor replied. "By the way, Lady Kathryn, I was peering into your mind while you slept. I spoke to director Fury, and Loki will be able to come here as early as tonight

"Tonight?" I asked. My face carved into an insane smile. "Can he come now?"

"Of course no-" Jacob began.

"I'm already here," said a smug voice from the door. "Courtesy of Thor, I arrived here about five minutes ago."

Jacob gave a sarcastic smile. "Then I guess I'll let you two get right down to acting like Clint and Natasha," he hissed, leaving the room and slamming the door.

"What is wrong with the soldier?" Loki asked, raising an eyebrow. "I do not recall him acting like that the last time I was here."

"That wasn't Steve, silly," I replied. "That was his clone."

"What is a clone?" Loki asked.

"Mortals have learned how to make copies of a person," I explained. "I'm not surprised you don't know that. You never taught me anything that happened after the Revolutionary War."

Thor chuckled. "Well, I shall leave you two alone. I need to have a word with Jacob." He strode out of the room, cape billowing as he walked. When the door closed behind him, Loki looked around.

"So this is where you live," he said. "It certainly isn't an improvement over Asgard if you ask me," he said.

I smiled. "Well then you're going to have to get used to it, love." For the first time, I looked at his clothes. He wore a green V-neck with dark jeans. "You look great too. Where did you learn to dress like a mortal?" I joked.

"Just because I stopped learning about your history, you think I do not keep track of your culture?" he laughed. "I do declare, it is so nice to see you when you are not dreaming."

"Yeah? And why is that?"

He walked toward me and took me into his arms. "Because I can do this." Next, he stroked my cheek with his thumb. "And this." He moved until his face was inches from mine. "And this," he whispered, jamming his lips to mine. It was an odd type of kiss. There was still something off about Loki. I hadn't forgotten that he was evil, and still cursed, but the memories made me remember why I loved him. He had been my light in a world tainted with darkness. I had to give him credit for that. So I returned his kisses, enjoying the feel of him. Of his soft, warm, velvety lips and his slim yet broad shoulders.

One hand tangled in my hair while the other wound itself around my waist, pulling me to him, as his lips moved to my neck, biting my skin gently, and then brushing his tongue softly across the bites to soothe them. It sent chills down my spine. "Loki," I moaned.

He paused, staring deep into my eyes. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to hear you say that," he whispered, leaning his forehead on mine. "Gods it's good to see you in person rather than just as a shell, love,"

"And you as well darling," I replied, kissing him quickly again. I pulled back and smiled. "I have to get dressed. Do you want to watch something on TV?" I asked, pulling out the remote and clicking it on.
