Back To Alice
by sloanranger
My dear Queen I am dismayed
that you profess to feel this way.
You tell me now that your good King
intends at me to wave his Bling.
I am a judge I'll have you know
I came to stop this silly row.
I will admit he's rather bold,
but has a point, I am told.
If you be shrew and do continue
hostile ways you'll loose your venue.
This mighty King would have your head,
may install one in your stead.
This would never, never do,
for of a pair you two are true;
who would give as good as got,
this royal ire, to his lot.
And I am sure that I don't want
boss or King in my bedchamber.
(I pray indeed, this does not daunt,
Cole to come 'round & claim her).
Queen Alice, I don't want his bed.
I have opined, have you not read?
Men are sometimes necessary,
but of the lot, you must be wary.
Have a care before you leap
lest you have one 'ere you sleep.
Men indeed, can be so fine,
but most are just a waste of time : )
