Chapter 3

"Bitch" Chris screamed as he got close to me, "give me one fucking good reason I shouldn't kill your ass right now"

I looked at him and rolled my eyes I didn't have the energy nor the time to deal with his bullshit. I slowly stood from sitting in the wheelchair and was about to get into the car when something in my head just snapped. I was beyond sick of this niggas crap. I turned towards him and stepped a bit closer getting all in his face.

"You know what Christopher there might have been a time when I was scared of your act, but now I'm just sick of it. I just lost my baby because of your drunk ass, I almost died because of what you did to me. For the rest of my life I will be forever scarred because of what you did. And for what did you do it for? No reason at all. I never cheated on you I never did you wrong so what the fuck did I deserve this for. I don't hold any love in my heart for you and never will. I hold no ill will in my heart for you may god have mercy on your soul because no one else will." I shout at him.

"Bitch fuck you and that dead baby, you ought to me happy,that I killed it now you won't have to be tied down with that irritating piece of shit you call a baby. I told you that damn child won't mine in the beginning but you ain't listen." He said shoving me roughly

"That's enough...man get your bitch ass outta here before you mouth write a check your ass cash." Shawn Said before I could respond.

"Nigga shut the fuck up and go sit down somewhere this grown folk bizness white boy." Chris said harshly.

"Rot in hell Christopher." I say getting in the car and shawn walks around to the driver side.

"So this your new bodyguard now layanna, you can't keep a black man so you gotta change races and go to a white guy." Christopher yells as we drive off.

We are riding around for a while and I didn't notice that shawn had pulled over to the side of the rode until the car turned off and he wiped the tears from my cheek. We sat in silence just looking out the front window until he broke the silence.

"Layanna I know that it doesn't bring back your baby back but I'm really sorry for you loss. I can't even begin to think about what mus be running through your head but if you ever need some one to talk to know that hear." Shawn said

I looked over to where he was setting and could feel that what he was saying that he was sincere. I felt a new wave of tears fill my eyes and spill down my cheeks. I covered my hands with my eyes and then thoroughly cried for about fifteen minuets. He put his arm around me and hugged me gently while rubbing small soothing circles into my back. He asked me where I to go after I calmed down and I told him back to my shop.

Shawn's POV

When we arrived at her shop she had asked me to wait in the car but I insisted that I go inside with her. I watched as she walked over to her cash register and pull out the money that was inside. Putting it inside her pocket and the picking up a pink teddy bear off the floor. She cuddled it to her chest as a single tear slipped down her cheek. She walked to the front door and locked up after she turned off the lights.

Walking silently back to the car she slid into the front seat slowly refusing the help I offered and then asked me if I could drive her to the Best Western.

" why"

" because I'm not going to stay in the apartment that I lived in with tat bastard" she said quietly but firmly

"Why don't you just stay with me at my house"

"Because I don't want to Im-"

"Nonscene I won't have you staying in a Hotel by yourself please let me take care of you. I promise nothing bad will happen to you. " I interrupted.

"I....huhhh" she said and I could tell she was fighting sleep.

"Go ahead and sleep" I said,

Before I could even finish the sentence she was sleep, I drove the familiar route to my penthouse apartment and parked the car into the driveway and got out. I pulled my keys out my back pocket and opened the front door and then went back to the car. After opening the door and lifted her out of the car and walked her into my apartment and up the stairs o the guest bedroom and laid her down and covered her up.

I went across the hall and into my room changed into my pjs and climbed into bed. I fell fast asleep. In the middle of the night I heard her scream out in agony....

Okay guys sorry its been a while but with my junior paper and my college classes I've been mad busy. But I'm going to try and update every other day
