Chapter Fourteen

It had been a week since the day I got evaluated, and today was the day I started my physical transition.

I woke up extra early today. I put on my most comfortable and favorite clothes for the day ahead of me. It was 4:00 in the morning, and of course, Eren is still asleep. I should be asleep, too, but I was too damn excited. And what do I do when I'm excited?

I marched (quietly) to the room where I recorded my YouTube videos in, and sat against my wall with the green screen in front of it. I always made the background of my videos a different color, and sometimes the trans flag on my trans related videos. I turned on my camera and began talking to it.

"Hey guys! I am ecstatic today because as most of you know, I am officially going on T* today!" After about five or six minutes of rambling, I turned off my camera, synced it to my computer, and began editing the video. Several jump cuts and random captions and music later, my video was done and nearly two hours had passed. It was now 5:47, and I still had to wait quite a while before Eren woke up. We weren't in a hurry because I'm supposed to be at the doctor at 2:00 in the afternoon.

I spent my time texting Alex. He and Jake got evaluated yesterday and he hasn't told me about it yet.

Me: Hey, Alex, you up?

There was no reply for a bit, but about five minutes later, I heard my phone buzz.

Alex: Hey, this is Jake. Alex isn't up yet. What's up?

Me: I heard you guys got evaluated yesterday. How was it?

Alex: It went pretty well. Our doctor said that Alex and I will be on T in a week. Wbu?

Me: I'm getting on T today that's why I'm up this early haha

Alex: That's awesome bro! Since we're all pretty much starting at the same time we should have contests to see who grows the most facial hair. Alex wants a full beard

Me: I don't want it to trigger any dysphoria, but that sounds fun.

Alex: haha alright. May the best stubble win! Alex just woke up, so I have to go. Good luck with your first injection!

Me: You too, man, and tell Alex good luck, too! Bai

I turned my phone off and crawled back in bed with Eren. To my surprise, the second I curled back in, Eren opened his eyes and jumped a bit.

"Holy shit, Armin, you scared me!" 

"S-Sorry," Eren smiled and pulled me close to him.

"Today's your big day," just hearing it made me light up even more inside.

"Yeah! I can't wait!" I curled my head against his chest a couple of times. Doing that always made me feel warm...

"I'm going to take a shower now that I'm awake," Eren tried to get up, but I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him back.

"No stay here, I'll be lonely," Eren rolled his eyes but crawled back under the covers. I rested my head on his chest, and we both closed our eyes again. We had time.

It was currently 1:30 PM, and it was going to take us thirty minutes to get to the hospital where I would get my first injection.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" I was practically bouncing up and down. Eren smiled widely and was blushing slightly.

"Your enthusiasm makes me happy," I turned around so I was facing his face. I leaned up and kissed him shortly and ran down our front steps. Eren grabbed my sleeve and pulled me back. "Hey," he brought back our moment before and kissed me for a bit longer before pulling away.
