- Of Spanish descent but was born and adopted into a foster family in London England (The LeClerc's, a highly reputable family of military prestige) at a very young age as she never knew her real parents but knew of their sacrifice in the war against the Covenant.
- She grew up wanting to follow in their footsteps and wanted to join the UNSC academy to do her part in saving humanity. At the age of 20, Jaesa got her dream as she was approached and recruited at the UNSC academy at Sydney Australia due to her exceptional skills in sharpshooting, leadership and interest in logistics in her background.
- During her basic training at Sydney as a marine, she met and befriended a fellow battle buddy known as Serenity McKnight by becoming a 'big sister' to her. A year later she was transferred to the ODST program due to her value but was swiftly stolen a week later by the secretive Spartan 3 program to maximize her potential.
