I look around to see everybody practically quaking
I turn to y/n who isn't shaking, just looking away from me.
the fear that my name wont be called really kicks in as I watch Miley take a breath
she begins reading out the votes
Sara: 0 votes
Joe: 1 vote
Keiji: 1 vote
Kanna: 1 vote
Q-taro: 1 vote
Sou: 1 vote
Reko: 1 vote
Y/n: 1 vote
Nao: 0 votes
Kai: 1 vote
Gin: 1 vote
Mishima: 3 votes
"welp! it looks like teacher kazumi mishima got the most votes!!"
"I.....this cant be right..", says mishima
"what's going to happen to him?! nothing right!!", says nao while smiling worriedly at mishima
he just stays quiet while Miley is smiling.
"well.. do you have anything to say? spit it out!!", exclaims miley
"Miley what's wrong with you?! you haven't even told us what happens to the most voted person.", says y/n angrily
I stare worriedly at y/n while she is yelling.
she is usually calm, if she is sad angry or upset she only shares those emotions with me... is it my fault..? maybe the argument we had before made her upset?!?
her eyes lock with mine.
my bleak expression compared to her stressed expression made me worried for the both of us
"I guess I just don't quite understand the circumstances that have led my peers to vote for me.. I guess it was well deserved... but I don't know..", says mishima while nao is putting her hand on his tall shoulder
"that's what you have to say? that's it? are you sureee?", says miley
"what..?"
suddenly a loud beeping noise makes the room go dead silent
I look down at my collar and it isn't mine beeping,
its mishimas.
"do you really want those as your last words."
mishima starts sweating nervously
"what the hell are you doing to him?!", yells Reko at miley
"its not going to explode is it?!?", says nao breathlessly
no..
It wouldn't explode
because when Miley taunted us with Joe's collar it didn't go off so...
this cant possibly happen!
"don't worry nao..", I say reassuringly, "your friendly police officer is here!"
she stays quiet..
"it won't explode..", Miley responded
as soon as Miley said that she started bursting out into somewhat chaotic laughter
"ahahahahhaha..AHAHA."
"What the..", says joe
Mishima's face started to fade into purple.
his sweat started to intensify as his eyebrows furrowed
everybody starts to stare at him while his hands reach to his collar
"ITS HOTTTTT!!", yells mishima
we all stand there watching as his collar turns bright red and steam begins to come out of it.
what the hell is the collar doing?!
"my neck!!"
mishima began screaming at the top of his lungs
"IT BURNS AHHHHHHHHHH HELP MEEE ITS BURNINGGGGGGG"
his screams carried on until they stopped and began more and more silent.
"AHHH..ahhhh..hh."
"PROFESSOR!!!!!!!"
nao tries to run up to the burning professor but I hold her back.
nao please don't intervine.. I know that's your professor but its a very dangerous situation please trust me!!"
"BUT PROFFESSOR!!"
nao lets go of my fierce grip and runs to mishima
"NAO!!"
I can't stop her now.
"nao please stay away!!!"
mishima pushes nao out of the way in order for her not to get burned.
"PLEASE SOMEONE HELP HIM!!", Nao cries
the professor passed out onto the floor face down.
"he's going to die!!"
"don't touch the collar nao!!", says Kai sternly
"but..."
nao reaches her arm out and then she hesitates
the professor stops moving.
no more breathing.
no more movement.
this could only mean one thing.
"no.. it cant be...", cries nao
"PROFESSORRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!"
and in the blink of an eye.
as all of this has happened too suddenly,
professor mishima has died.
